Matt Leaves Noah and Sharon to Die — Plus, Victor Lays the Hammer Down On Phyllis

In her office, Phyllis worries to herself about Victoria talking to The Bug. She then starts ranting at her own portrait about Victor, vowing to never give up. Victoria and Victor arrive in time to witness this odd display. They’re there to offer her a deal… it may be her last chance to get out of the trouble she’s in.
Phyllis isn’t interested, but Victoria plows ahead, telling her she must turn over the company immediately or files they have on her will be turned over to the D.A. Phyllis tries to laugh it off, but they inform her Christine’s stepping into the D.A. role… tomorrow. Victor asks, “Are you sure you don’t want to entertain our offer?”
Victoria informs Phyllis they have proof she conspired with Cane and Billy to steal Newman Enterprises. Phyllis reminds them fabricated evidence won’t hold up in court. Victoria says that will be up to the D.A. to decide. Victoria hands over the fake emails and reminds her that Christine will be determining if they’re real.
Phyllis points out Victor stole Cane’s company, but they’re sure she won’t be able to prove it. They have a digital trail and the executives that resigned will testify that they heard her gloating about cheating Victor out of his company. The execs file in to prove the point.
Phyllis invites them to try their luck with Christine, while Victor bellows that he built this company from the ground up… she built diddley-do! Victoria pulls the mom card and Phyllis hollers that she’s calling their bluff. “Let’s see how it plays out in court!” Victor orders her to have the transfer papers drawn up by the end of the day. Once alone, Phyllis tells her portrait, “We might be in trouble.”
Phyllis summons Lauren and updates her on the illegal program faking evidence against her. She can’t breathe and feels like someone has kicked her in the stomach. Lauren learns that the D.A. is Christine. Phyllis has to do something fast or she’s going to lose it all. She’ll have her IT team prove the evidence is bogus.
Meanwhile, Victor and Victoria return to the ranch. She marvels over her father’s savvy and genius. He’s impressed with her too. They’ll forge ahead regardless of what Phyllis does next.
Back in Phyllis’ office, Michael has arrived. She rants about the made-up documentation. Michael warns that Cane and Billy could be subpoenaed and they’re not likely to protect her. If Christine offers them a deal to testify against her, he doubts they’d turn it down. Phyllis sighs, “So, what you’re saying is I’m screwed.”
Matt Mess
In Vegas, Adam, Chelsea and Nick negotiate with Riza to tell them where Matt is and what he’s planning to do next. At that very moment, Matt’s in the car with Noah and Sharon, mocking them for expecting Nick to greet them. When Noah lunges for him, he pulls a gun.
Sharon demands to know where Nick is, and Matt tells her he and Adam will be there soon. He orders them out of the car and into the abandoned garage, where he rants about Sienna and assures them the nightmare isn’t over.
Back in the suite, Adam pleads with Riza to cough up the information. She wants him to admit they had a real connection. He does, as Chelsea glares. When Riza continues to hesitate, Nick becomes so belligerent with her that Adam has to step in. Riza finally tells them about the abandoned gas station… Matt wanted her to tell them, so it’s a trap. Nick grits to Adam that they have to take the risk… he must have lured Sharon and Noah there.
In the gas station, Matt does his song and dance for Sharon and Noah. They’ll soon know what he has planned for them. Back in the suite, Nick orders Riza to get on the phone with Matt. She’s not thrilled by the idea and hands Adam her gun, saying he’ll need it.
In the gas station, Matt tells Noah and Sharon that the place is wired with wi-fi and is a cover for his lucrative business. His phone rings. It’s Riza lying that Nick and Adam didn’t take the bait and they’re headed back to Genoa City. He disconnects and tells Sharon her knight in shining armor is riding in the wrong direction. Cue evil laugh: “Now it’s just the three of us!”
In the suite, Nick and Adam have gone, leaving Riza and Chelsea to spar verbally. Chelsea informs Riza that Spyder doesn’t exist… but she wants to know about their past.
In the car, Adam asks Nick what’s up with him. Sweating and itching, Nick insists he’s fine. Adam disagrees. He saw the baggies of pills in the storage room… he’s hooked on drugs and needs to admit it!
In the gas station, Matt’s going on about Noah sleeping with his wife. He stomped on his heart, and he did it because he’s a Newman and he can. Why should he ever forgive him? Noah, trying a new tactic, replies, “You shouldn’t.”
The Final Scenes
At the ranch, Victor and Victoria are certain they’ll get their company back. Victoria hopes for Phyllis’ children’s sake she chooses their offer over prison time. Victor wouldn’t mind seeing her behind bars.
In Phyllis’ office, Michael urges her to give Victor what he wants, or she’ll end up behind bars. Phyllis cannot believe what she’s hearing. She’ll fight. “There’s no way in hell I’m giving this up.”
In the Vegas suite, Riza tells Chelsea that she and Spyder had an instant attraction and the sexual chemistry was off the charts. She made him the hottest private player on the strip. Watching him win was electric. Chelsea informs her that she’s his present and future. Whatever they had is in the past.
In the car, Adam’s wishing they’d brought Newman security. Nick scoffs that Matt has eyes everywhere. No one can approach without him knowing. Adam muses, “No one. Including us.”
In the gas station, Noah gives Matt a heartfelt apology for stealing his wife. Matt tells him, “Nice try, Junior.” Noah asks him to let his mom go. Matt says she’s not going anywhere… the only person leaving is him. One of them will watch the other die while they’re chained there with no water. “That’s what’s going to happen.”
