Bold & Beautiful Exclusive: As Ivy Exits Stage Left, Ashleigh Brewer Lays the Groundwork for Her Explosive Return

The April 23 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful marked the end of the line for Poison Ivy Forrester — for now. Her machinations to keep niece Electra away from boyfriend Will Spencer finally came to light, and the conniver admitted that what she’d done was — go on and say it with us — not proper at all.
But if you think this is the last we’ll see of Ivy, think again. The jewelry designer, who was introduced to the canvas back in 2014, is sure to make good on her vow to come back, likely as soon as portrayer Ashleigh Brewer returns from maternity leave. (She and her husband, producer Mark Bauch, announced in February that they were expecting their first child in May.)

Is Ivy Going to Turn Over a New Leaf?
Will Ivy have learned her lesson when she pops up again? Don’t count on it. Though the busybody was even scolded by Olympic-caliber meddlers Ridge and Brooke — there’s some irony for ya — Brewer says, “I definitely don’t think Ivy needs a reset.”
On the contrary, the actress, who departed Bold & Beautiful in 2018 and reprised her role six years later, suggests that it could be fascinating to get into Ivy’s head and see what makes her tick — and these days so ticked off. “If anything, I’d love to dig deeper and explore what is under all of this current anger and hurt.
“She has come out swinging — in the wrong direction perhaps,” she adds, “but there is drama there.”
WTH Happened to Ivy?
If Brewer were to hazard a guess as to what turned Ivy so poisonous, “I’d start by looking at her history with Liam and Wyatt — the original hot Spencer boys,” she says. (Review those stories here.) Those failed relationships may have made Ivy overprotective of Electra — to the point that she didn’t care if she hurt her niece if it saved her from being wounded the way she herself was by another Spencer man.
