Young & Restless’ Matt Clark Mega-Twist Could Lead to [Spoiler]’s Exit
With Matt Clark’s amnesia increasingly pointing to the villain being redeemed in the eyes of the Newmans, a whole new potential plot twist becomes a possibility… and it may involve an exit from Young & Restless!
We already know that Young & Restless is about to launch a new love triangle with Noah Newman caught between current girlfriend, Sienna Bacall, and his ex-live-in-love, Audra Charles, but with the Matt mega-twist that appears to be going down, things may become even more complicated than we imagined. How?
When Matt’s memories finally returned, thanks to the nuShadow Room kick-starting his recall, it was Sienna who stepped forward to say that his anguish over his past misdeeds was the real deal. Declaring that she “knew” her estranged husband, she insisted that his remorse was genuine. How well Sienna actually knows him is questionable given that he managed to hide his true identity and past from her for their entire marriage, but she believes she knows him and that’s what is important here.
If Victor’s going to let Matt circulate in polite society while he “proves” himself, we’re certain that Sienna is one of the first people he will seek out. Not only because she’s technically still his wife, but because she looked into his eyes, or soul perhaps, and saw his remorse. He’s bound to want to connect with her.
This presents a scenario where, having fallen for the man in the past, Sienna could fall for Matt again. Or at the very least, turn to him for comfort or advice when things eventually start crumbling with Noah as the triangle with Audra gets underway.
Given that Sienna finds the recreated Shadow Room “tainted”, her only reason to stay in Genoa City is Noah. If that relationship hits the skids, as seems inevitable, then Matt may advise her to leave and start over somewhere new. There’s also the possibility that they could fall back in love, stay married, and leave together, but that seems unlikely given the gymnastics that Young & Restless is putting itself through to redeem Clark.
The bottom line is that if Noah’s looking for an excuse to drop Sienna for Audra, turning to her ex-husband who tried to kill them as a confidante would likely give him the green light… and that, SOAPS readers, is how the Matt mega-twist could lead to Sienna’s exit from Genoa City.
