Victor Newman Arrives in Fairmont Crest — Let the Crossover Event Begin!
It’s the evening of Martin’s fundraiser as people all around Fairmont Crest are dressing to the nines. At the station, Jacob is determined to do whatever it takes to catch The Impaler, while Joey is home admitting to Vanessa that Heather walking back into his life was a major shock. And in Genoa City, Victor is getting ready to jump on a chopper.
Upon arriving, Victor catches up with Vernon, with the men remembering a long-ago meal they had with Anita and Nikki at the Colonnade Room. Victor catches up with Vernon’s wife and meets his grandson, Martin, who is fresh off a pep talk from hubby Smitty. As things are about to get underway, the lights flicker, an ominous portent of the storm brewing on the horizon, both metaphorically and literally!
Jacob Gets New Info!
Heather’s visit has clearly stirred up some previously-suppressed issues for Joey. He talks to Vanessa about his dad, wondering if he’s every bit the bad guy he was. Vanessa assures him that he is nothing like his dad. They have a conversation about whether or not Heather is evil, which feels odd given that Vanessa knows nothing about his sister’s criminal activities. Soon after, Jacob arrives, armed with a name. It’s not Heather’s, and Joey steers the cop in the other person’s direction. Later, he reluctantly admits to Vanessa that he hasn’t told her everything, saying The Impaler made him an offer, but still without naming his sister. And when Elon finds out his son went to see Joey, he’s furious. Jacob, however, makes it clear he’ll do anything to find the person responsible for Derek’s death!
Around the DMV
Martin’s isn’t the only fundraiser happening on the DMV, as Mona has taken over Orphey Gene’s for a church event. She is displeased when Leslie arrives, but the troublemaker turns over a substantial check made out to Mona’s church. Moments later, Leslie gets a call saying that the issue’s involving construction of her house have been resolved and she will soon be able to start construction again!
Tyrell and Samantha discuss his relationship with Jessica. While he thinks everything is smooth sailing, Sam suggests he have a talk with Jessica, because they definitely do not seem to be on the same page! In fact, Jessica appears to be bracing for the possibility of a long-distance relationship. And when a jewelry box accidentally falls out of Andre’s bag, he gives Dani the gift he meant to present her while they were in Tokyo: A special ring symbolizing that they are forever bound together.
