Rafe Corners Liam for Answers About the DiMera Kidnappings and Gwen Plans to Destroy Dimitri

Rafe and Gabi get the news from Javi that Tio Gabriel’s surgery went well. But Rafe has to take care of business before finally going to Alamainia. Turns out, Rafe’s business is with Liam, so he pulls him off to a moodily lit corner of the park.

What Does Liam Know?

Liam buckles fast and tells Rafe everything he knows. Some guy sat next to him at a dive bar and asked if he wanted to make extra cash stocking the crypt with food and water and moving the sarcophagus out.

The bones fell out so he buried them. Instead of putting them back in the sarcophagus. Naturally. He freaks a bit when he finds out he defiled Stefano’s bones, but claims he was just told the crypt was being prepped for a disaster.

Rafe will back off if Liam can describe the guy who hired him (who had a mark on his cheek). Rafe will set him up with a sketch artist tomorrow.

Will Julie Kick JJ Out?

Jeremy’s pacing around like a caged animal, since everyone thinks he’s evil, but Julie has faith in him and convinces him to get out and get some air. JJ rushes down to tail him, much to Julie’s anger.

Jeremy wanders into the Bistro and JJ hides blatantly behind a flower cart in the square, where Gabi finds him and accuses him of going on a date. He’s not, but he’s heard that she and Philip weren’t “in it for the long haul” from Theo. Her face freezes and she runs off.

Then Jeremy comes back out with his to-go back and the Hortons return to the house with Jeremy none-the-wiser. At least, until Julie starts yelling at him for being a double agent and invading the “peace” of her home.

Will Gwen’s Plan to Frame Dimitri Work?

EJ lays into Gwen about Dimitri, but she’s got a plan with Vivian to make Dimitri look like the co-conspirator in the kidnappings. EJ points out that if Vivian can help frame him, she’s probably the accomplice. Or the mastermind. Grand! They can deal with Dimitri and find the real kidnapper!

More importantly, Dimitri blocked Gwen’s accounts, so she needs to hire EJ to divorce them. He won’t, since Dimitri’s his nephew… but he’ll find someone else to represent her and advise behind the scenes.

Can Gabi Trust Theo?

Theo’s finally home and Abe breaks the news about Stefano. They talk a bit about Theo’s family and Abe tells his son that Lexie’s in both their hearts forever. (Until she’s standing in front of them.)

Then Gabi shows up at the front door to demand answers the second Abe leaves. “What the hell did you say to JJ about my relationship with Philip?” He made a mistake, but he didn’t say anything about her corporate espionage. He blames it on a brain injury and pain meds, so Gabi shrugs it off. She trusts he won’t say anything more — he’s the most trustworthy person she knows!

Is Rachel Leaving Bayview?

Kristen summons Brady to the Pub to tell him they need to get Rachel out of Bayview. Sophia’s still a problem. And that awful Dr. Gregory is giving healthy, good advice that Kristen doesn’t like — like him dating Sarah! Brady snaps that Kristen already ruined that after threatening Sarah.

Tomato, tomahto. Now that Kristen’s out of prison, she’s back to having custody of Rachel, so she’s taking her out of Bayview. Brady vows to fight her, but Kristen counters that she’ll let Rachel stay with — if he gets his own place. Brady at least wants them to talk to Dr. Gregory together first.

In the Show’s Final Moments

Julie threatens to sue the Salem PD for harassment if he and Jada don’t back off. JJ accuses her of being blind to family members and brings up her defense of Nick. So she threatens to throw him out.

Paulina meets Abe in the square to talk about Liam and Stefano. Abe struggles with Theo’s feelings towards his grandfather since he was responsible for Lexie’s death, but Paulina warns him not to say anything. Let Theo hold onto his memories.

Gwen tries pushing EJ to talk about his “feelings” or some garbage when Stefano’s memorial comes up, but he’s not having it. He’s not even sure what he’s feeling about Stefano’s final death. “I finally must accept he was mortal after all. Like the rest of us.”
