Nathan Reveals a Connection to [Spoiler] and the Reason He Came Back — Plus, Sonny Catches Ric in a Lie
At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn worries to Tracy about Curtis potentially knowing she was on the road during Jordan’s accident. She can’t go to the police herself because she doesn’t want to risk giving up Phoebe. Tracy thinks if Curtis knew it was her, the cops would be there already. She urges her granddaughter to focus on the little girl and put the accident behind her.
On the boathouse dock, Chase adorably lists Phoebe’s “criminal” offenses, including spitting up on his shirt, which he takes off. When Brook Lynn arrives, the marrieds breathe a sigh of relief upon discovering they both want to adopt their foster child. However, Brook Lynn worries about the background check due to her checkered past. Chase insists they have to try, referencing their Quartermaine and Congresswoman connections.
Laura Tries to Disuade Justine
Laura calls Justine to her office for an update on Jordan’s accident. Deducing her lead on the other driver is Isaiah, Laura urges the acting D.A. not to pursue it. Curtis could be letting his emotions cloud his judgment. Plus, Isaiah saved Lulu’s life. Justine asks if the mayor is asking her to bury this. Laura insists she’s not and hopes the investigation clears Isaiah.
Ric comes to the hospital with flowers for Elizabeth and an invitation for a weekend getaway. She surprises him by immediately agreeing. As Ric leaves to make hotel reservations, the nurse goes over discharge papers with an uneasy Jordan, who also receives at-home care instructions.
Who to Trust?
On the pier, Ethan makes his daily mystery call. “Delilah (!), you need to show up because I can’t help you if you don’t.” Upon hanging up, Sonny arrives for an update on Ric. After spying on him, Ethan can only guess that Ric used Ava to get a message to Sidwell. Sonny doesn’t necessarily trust Ethan’s assessment, but he’s given him a lot to think about.
Sonny summons Ric to the pier to cryptically question him about Sidwell, Ethan and his whereabouts the day he ran out of his office. Hedging, Ric says he had a meeting at the D.A.’s office about another client. Sonny privately fact-checks that claim with Justine, who confirms Ric did not have a meeting on the books. Sonny explains their volatile history, worried his brother wants to finish what he started years ago.
Elizabeth asks Laura to look after Aiden while she’s away. Laura expresses concern about Liz rekindling things with her ex, but Elizabeth believes Ric has found peace now that he and Sonny are getting along. Speaking of Ric, he’s at the pier on the phone with Ava, reminding her they need to keep their arrangement a secret.
How Does Ethan Know Delilah?
Upon Tracy’s invitation, Ethan visits the mansion. She wants to keep him safe from Sonny by sending him to Australia to scout Aurora Wellness locations. Ethan assures her he can look out for himself. However, he admits the real reason he came back was that he was working with a partner and they arranged to meet there. Port Charles is the closest place he has to a home, and he wanted to be in a familiar setting with people who give a damn about him. Tracy implores him to think about the Aurora offer.
Brook Lynn and Chase bring Phoebe to the house after Tracy has left on a Hades emergency. Ethan meets Phoebe and learns that her mother, Delilah Wilson, has died. He keeps his visible reaction to hearing her name in check.
Curtis brings Jordan home, where she beats herself up for not keeping her eyes on the road the night of the accident. Curtis puts the blame on the driver who didn’t stop for them. He thinks he found them.
On the next General Hospital, Isaiah asks why he should ignore hospital protocol for “Nathan,” Dante has a favor to ask Elizabeth, Chase worries Delilah had something to hide, Ric tells Laura that if he ends things now, Elizabeth won’t give him another chance, and Sonny tells Justine that Ric blew his last shot.
