Ivy’s Treachery Is Revealed to ‘Bridge’ — Plus, WTH Is Dylan’s ‘Unfinished Business’?

As the episode begins, Electra and Will are still standing around the showroom recapping. Or would it be re-recapping at this point? Electra doesn’t even know who her aunt is anymore. In the CEO’s office, Ridge notices that Ivy is even less focused on work than usual. Brooke’s contribution? Jewelry is “lovely.” Super helpful, Brooke. Oh, I see now: She’s just leaning into more talk about R.J. “working” with Electra. In the design office, R.J. tries to sell Dylan on the idea that they both want the same thing: Will and Electra apart. But since it’s coming from R.J., she’s understandably skeptical. It’s like the show altogether forgot their meet-cute and the sparks that flew.
Poison Ivy Spreads to Brooke
After the opening credits, Ridge tries to put the kibosh on Brooke and Ivy’s matchmaking. But it’s no use. Ivy has her broken record to play, with Brooke providing backing vocals. A commercial break later, Ridge attempts again to shut down Brooke and Ivy. This time, the Aussie goes too far, saying Electra’s been hurt by someone “beneath” her. That gets both Ridge and Brooke’s attention. They come to Will’s defense, saying he’s more like Katie than Bill (as if that’s much of a recommendation to them at the moment).
R.J. Tries to Lure Dylan to the Dark Side
In the design office, Dylan tells R.J. that Will and Electra are likely to get back together. R.J. doubts it. He’s surer than sure that “Wilectra” are done. What’s more, he’d wager that Dylan loves Will. That match-up makes sense, he says, I think burying an insult in there somewhere. (If Will is awful and Dylan is right for Will… Yeah, R.J.’s totally dissing her.) Ridge Jr. images a world where he gets Electra and Dylan gets Will. All she has to do it admit she wants him, R.J. says.
At that very moment Electra and Will are reviewing Ivy’s treachery. “She won’t get away with this,” he vows. Rather than shut up and quit while he’s ahead, he keeps talking and reminds Electra of Dylan, immediately triggering her. Now “Wilectra” have lost so much time, they sigh. What, a month? Chillax, kids.
Will Wants a Do-Over
Shortly, Electra and Will get onto the subject of R.J. kissing her and Dylan kissing him. A lotta confirmation that yes, when people kiss, their lips wind up on one another’s. #TheMoreYouKnow Will is ready to put the past behind him and Electra, but she wants to whine a bit more first. Eventually, Will gets almost wound up enough to barge into the CEO’s office and rat out Ivy.
Back in the design office, R.J. tries to play the poor little rich boy card, and Dylan shuts that [bleep] right down by saying until he’s had to eat out of a trash can, he can just zip it about his “hard” life. He works — sorry, “works” — because he feels like it. But Dylan works because she has to. She can’t emphasize enough how badly she needs her job.
Poison Ivy… Caught!
Finally, Will gets angry enough to storm into the CEO’s office. Some people knock, Ridge says. “Since when?” we all reply. As fast as she can, Ivy tries to hush Will up, saying his disrespect won’t be tolerated. But, with Electra by his side, he spills the beans about Poison Ivy’s misdeeds. Cue Brooke and Ridge’s shocked expressions.
Dylan Gets a Disturbing Call
As the episode comes to an end, R.J. makes it clear that he doesn’t give two [bleeps] about how much Dylan needs her job. Go get another one, he says as if it’s that easy. All she wants is to save up and get on with her life. R.J., anointing himself judge and jury, grants her a second chance. Gee, thanks, lord and master!
Just then, Electra receives a phone call from “me.” Who? Whoever it is, their voice is disguised, and they say they and Dylan have some unfinished business. She immediately hangs up but is clearly spooked. (Since R.J. had just left the room, can we rule him out as a suspect?)
Is This Ivy’s Last Stand?
Back in the CEO’s office, Ivy owns up to stealing Electra’s letter. Ivy really seems bonkers as she refuses to hear anyone else’s perspective on what she’s done. Thank God at least Electra points out that Will wasn’t “with” Luna the night before he made love with her, he was taken advantage of by the psycho.
Gotta give Ivy credit. She maintains a seemingly impossible level of confidence in what she’s done. “I am not the bad guy,” Will says. “Oh yeah, you are,” Ivy retorts. “The way you disrespected Electra, it’s unforgivable.” Once more, Ivy pleads with her niece not to go back to Will.
