Hope’s Appalled by Brooke’s Confession — and Liam Erupts Over His Wife’s Update

At Brooke’s place, she tries to explain that she doesn’t need to be co-CEO if she’s damaging Ridge and Steffy’s relationship. Hope snaps, “But damaging ours is fine?” She accuses her of, once again, choosing Ridge over everything.
Brooke insists they got what they wanted… her line will be up and running soon! Hope gawps at her mother believing him. Brooke says, of course, she believes him. He’s her husband. Hope cries, “And I’m your daughter! I’m your daughter.”
Hope is sure that Ridge and Steffy will keep Hope For the Future sidelined. When Brooke brings up Eric and Logan, Hope fumes that her line shouldn’t have to suffer because of what happened at Logan. Brooke soothes that they need to regroup. Hope doesn’t buy it. It all would have been different if Brooke had stood up for her! Would it have, though?
Brooke tells Hope that she’s proud of what she’s done with her platform, but the industry has ups and downs. Her line will come back at some point, per Ridge. Hope asks how they left things last night. Brooke alludes to them hitting the sheets. Hope can’t believe her mother went to bed with him after he dropped a bomb on her she knew would devastate her daughter. Brooke gawps, “Oh, please. Don’t be like that.”
Respect
At Forrester, Eric, Ridge, RJ and Zende watch a model on the runway. Eric tells Zende her nailed the hemline. Ridge declares that Logan, who he’s not worried about at all by the way, will never have this quality again.
As the rest chortle about what a great team they make, Zende steps aside. He notes there are a lot of voices in couture right now. He misses having more agency with Hope For the Future. He presses Ridge about a timeline for Hope’s line, but the co-CEO fobs him off, assuring him he’s valued. Zende moves on, but he and RJ eye each other up.
Later, in the design office, RJ tells Zende he respects him and wants to learn from him. He doesn’t want his being there to upset him. Zende admits he may have felt some type of way about the younger Forrester returning and “strutting” around the office, but he’ll admit he’s good with a pencil. RJ tells him that means a lot, and they shake hands.
Bill Does Brooke
Over at Logan, they’re still debating whether Brooke will become co-CEO of Forrester (do they really have nothing else to do?!) and how that would affect the future of their fashion house. For what feels like the zillionth time, Katie worries about the rift hiring Hope would cause with Brooke.
Bill’s sure that there’d be lots of tears and does an impressive imitation of a wailing Brooke giving Hope the bad news that Mr. Destiny didn’t make her co-CEO. Katie has to agree, she doesn’t think Ridge will give her the job. Liam says if that’s true, Logan will mean a lot more to Hope.
The Final Scenes
In Forrester’s main office, Brooke understates to Ridge that Hope didn’t take the news well. She seems lost and disillusioned. Ridge promises she’ll get her groove back. Brooke hopes he’s right. Ridge is positive she and her daughter will work together for years to come.
Hope slams into Liam’s office at Logan and slaps her purse down. He guesses Ridge chose Steffy. Hope says it’s worse than that… her mother supports him. She’ll chose him over anything even if it goes against herself or her own daughter. She’s abandoned her for Ridge again!
Hope mocks Brooke’s idea that she can get Ridge to reinstate Hope For the Future, and tells Liam that’s not even the worst part. After she sided with Ridge, she jumped into bed with him. Liam gawps, “You’d better be kidding me!” Hope isn’t kidding and scoffs that it’s a perfectly reasonable response to your husband demeaning you. She doesn’t understand her mother. Liam erupts. They’re done with this! “It is time. Come and work with me and your aunt. You work with us at Logan!”
