Holly’s Health Takes a Rapid Nosedive, and Liam’s Return to Salem Makes Gabi’s Bad Day Even Worse
Gabi annoys the heck out of Theo when she stops by to drop off a congratulations/thank you/sorry gift. How efficient! She tries apologizing again for and assuming the worst of him, but Theo doesn’t want to hear it. And he’s even more annoyed when she asks about when the estate will be settled!
Will Theo Forgive Gabi?
Things just keep going downhill, from annoyed to angry when Gabi decides to tell Theo that she’s giving her money to Titan. The money he stuck his neck out to get her. “You turn around and give it away to the enemy because you feel bad about betraying your boyfriend!”
Gabi was trying to be honest and better and he flipped out at her? What about their friendship?? “We don’t have a friendship,” Theo scoffs. “Apparently we never did.” He’s done with her. Fine, then. Gabi turns up the attitude a smidge after one last apology and tells him she’ll be sitting on the Titan board. And she doesn’t play nice. But she will with his feelings because she cares about him.
Holly Passes Out
Aaron and Ari return to the cabin to find Holly out cold on the couch, being a total downer. Actually, she’s still not feeling well. Ari doesn’t think it’s Holly’s meds doing this, and Aaron pulls out his medical knowledge (Did he pick some things up from Mark?) to figure it’s a stomach bug.
Holly finally wakes, looking pale and drained, but she refuses to go back to Salem. She stands up to show them she’s fine and… passes out on the couch. Aaron leaps into action, they elevate her feet, wake her with smelling salts and Ari calls for help over her half-delirious protest.
Can Liam Help Sarah?
Sarah and Brady find Liam sitting in the Salem Brookville park watching Gage play. She asks about why he left Salem so quickly and he just says that it seemed better to skedaddle after the DiMera crypt business. That taken care of, Sarah jumps right into: So how’d Gage’s mom died?
She tells him about Destiny and asks if he knows anything about the pills Clea took and where she got them. She may not have died of an overdose. Liam tells the duo about her last night, scoring some pills from some guy in the convenience store parking lot. She got nauseous, lightheaded… and died. (This is not boding well for Holly.) That’s when Ari calls and Sarah sends an ambulance over!
What’s Wrong With Holly?
Sarah and Brady get to the hospital, where the youths are already gathered. Holly’s in her room, hooked up to an IV and fesses up to everything with Aunt Sarah. Sarah’s not mad, though, just worried about Holly. They walk through the symptoms, but it’s probably just a stomach bug. And if not, they’ll figure it out and treat it.
Liam, meanwhile, peeks his head around the corner like a cartoon character, which Ari sees. She sends Aaron off for coffee and runs after her almost-ex, catching up with him in the square. After some prompting, he admits he was with Sarah when Ari called, so he was worried and wanted to be sure she was alright. Ari is. But she wants to know why he ghosted her.
Tate rushes into the room as soon as Sarah finishes, and she’s not surprised to find out Brady knew about the boys joining the girls at the cabin. “Moving forward, I need everyone to tell me the whole story!” No one’s contacted Nicole and Eric yet, though. Sarah’s waiting for the test results. They move back to Liam. He seemed honest about the drugs, but… where did that money come from?
In the Show’s Final Moments
Theo doesn’t want Gabi’s care and concern. In fact, she reminds him of his cheating, lying ex, Claire, and tells her to stay the hell away. Once she’s gone, he opens Gabi’s gift with a sigh. It’s a fancy, leatherbound journal with a touching note from Gabi on its first page.
Tate visits Holly, grateful she’s OK, but as they’re talking, she starts convulsing and he rushes out to scream for help. Sarah rushes in while Brady comforts Tate. Eventually, Sarah settles her and, while Holly’s out cold, her aunt promises her that she’ll figure this out.
Liam tells Ari that “An opportunity presented itself that was too good to turn down.” Yes, he was rude, but now he can give her a proper goodbye. Liam plants a kiss on her just as a crushed Aaron sees them, hands full of coffee. And worse? Gabi sees them, too.
