General Hospital’s Maurice Benard Tells It Like It Is: ‘I Did Not Like the Experience’

Back in the day, you just simply went to the movies… You arrived before the show in order to stock up on your favorite candy, popcorn and drinks then made your way into the theater, picked a seat and sat back and enjoyed the show. However, these days, there are more exciting options when you want to take in the hottest new feature — and General Hospital’s Maurice Benard (Sonny) didn’t like it one bit!
The ABC soap vet posted a video of his experience and though it didn’t seem to bother his grandson seated next to him at all, Benard had a whole other take on the 4DX theater and its motion enabled chairs…. and from the laughter in the background, his family members got a real kick out his reaction.
“I have never in my life been to a theater where the chair feels like a real earthquake,” he admitted then went on to state, “You can call me, baby a wimp whatever you want, but I did not like the experience.”
Fans jumped into the comments with mixed feelings about the technology and though the actor’s former leading lady, Sarah Joy Brown (ex-Carly), agreed and stated, “I hated it as well. No fun,” the actress who plays his on-screen daughter Donna, Scarlett Spears, joked, “Ohhhh Dad… we need to get you out more.”
What side of the fence are you on? Vote in our poll then head to the comments to elaborate on your experiences.
Whatever the case, you never know if you’ll like something new unless you try it so props to Benard for trying!
