General Hospital About-Face: Nina Stabbing Jack May Bring About the Absolute *Last* Thing We Ever Expected!

Injecting Jack with Drew’s paralytic drug was just about the last thing Nina intended to do on General Hospital — especially since she was clearly trying to hit Valentin with it! But here we are. Nina’s panicking, Brennan’s in the hospital with a mysterious “stroke,” and Drew’s missed a dose of his very important drug.

Liz has already started musing about the odds of two strokes in the same house within a few months of each other. And Drew came darn close to calling for help. It seems like things may start unraveling soon, especially when Jack wakes up and begins asking his own questions!

But none of that would really be all that much of a surprise. It’s just the logical place for all of this to go. No, the real surprise would be for this attack to draw Nina and Jack together!

Cynthia Watros spoke with Soap Opera Digest to say that Nina “might not like him or even really know him, but I think we’ll see this bring her more compassion toward him.”

It’s easy to hate someone you don’t really know — especially when they’re, you know, using you! But Nina almost killed Jack and he could have a long road to recovery. She might start spending time with him, visiting him, wanting to help him out of guilt. And compassion could be the first step towards deeper feelings.

We can’t imagine Brennan would be too happy about this when he wakes up, but he’s still very much smarting over Carly turning on him with Valentin. In fact, he’s in a pretty dark, desperate place, and if he realizes Nina was trying to help him, he could see the advantage in cozying up to Nina to tick Carly off and get under her skin.

And honestly, it would be par for the course between Nina and Carly! They’ve shared four men in bed so far — Sonny, Drew, Jax and now Valentin — so why not a fifth?

So sure, Nina may have stabbed Brennan with a powerful paralytic, caused a medical stroke and nearly killed him, but in Port Charles, that’s about as good a meet cute as we’ve ever heard one!
