Eva and Kat Lay All Their Cards on the Table — Plus, [Spoiler] Plans a Proposal!

Kat’s still on the mend, but she’s anxious to get out of bed and roll herself to Eva’s hospital room. Ted agrees to leave them alone, somewhat reluctantly. The two young women lay their cards on the table, with Eva admitting to having gaslit Kat on occasion. Kat shares the details of her post-surgery dream, with Eva correctly quipping that it must have been Kat’s worst nightmare. Kat says the dream gave her a new insight into Eva and what life was like for her upon coming to town.
“This doesn’t mean we’re going to be sisters now,” admits Kat. Eva, in turn, says she’d like to think she would have gone through with the surgery had things been reversed. With a tear sneaking down her cheek, Kat reaches out to take Eva’s hand. Later, Eva tells Ted that she and Kat gained new understanding of one another. She suggests that Ted stop focusing so much on her at the expense of Kat, who has felt rejected. He should, she says, focus on Kat while she’s recovering. “Choose her this time.”
Leslie Owes Kat!
When Kat is back in her own room, Leslie stops by. Kat attempts to summon someone to have her unwanted guest removed, but Leslie’s not going anywhere until she has her say. Leslie ultimately thanks Kat for having saved Eva, even promising to try to refrain from calling her “Kitty Kat” moving forward. As for Kat, she warns that at some point, she will be collecting the debt Leslie owes!
Vernon Changes Anita’s Mind
Vernon worries when Anita cancels an appointment with her oncologist in order to help care for Kat. Anita admits she needs a few days of normalcy before facing yet another doctor visit that could result in more medical issues. But he begs her not to put off the appointment, wanting her to be finished with the treatments as soon as possible. “It’s so annoying when your husband is always right,” she sighs, acquiescing. Dani later swings by for a conversation about secrets and the unintentional hurting of people you care about.
Wedding Bells For Kat?
Naomi has questions for her dad after catching Bill daydreaming about Dani (with a big ol’ smile on his face). He does his best to dodge, not revealing that he’s been thinking about his and Dani’s elevator hook-up. Talk turns to Madison’s trial. He’s playing golf with the presiding judge, leading Naomi to ask that her dad not blackmail or threaten the judge.
Tomas meets with Chelsea, showing her a ring and admitting he’s planning to propose. She thinks this is a very bad idea, and that he’s simply leaping because he almost lost Kat. Once he leaves to play golf with Bill and the judge, Chelsea calls Madison to tell her Tomas is about to make a big mistake. When Naomi joins them, she agrees that Tomas is rushing it. Madison, however, thinks they’re overreacting. But Chelsea insists that Kat, from from having been basically pushed into having the surgery, won’t like someone pressuring her to get married with an unexpected proposal.
Andre crosses with Bill and Tomas at the gym, warning Dani’s ex that she’s his responsibility now. Hearing Andre talk about Dani pushes Tomas to admit to the other guys that he’s planning to propose. He asks them for proposal advice, and both suggest he forge his own path. When Andre hopes Tomas will be as happy as he is with Dani, Bill can’t help but smirk.
