Deanna Gets New Marching Orders From Her Dead Daddy — Plus, Leslie’s Plan Is Nixed

Deanna catches up with Kat, saying she’d rather give her organs to science than donate anything to Joey. Deanna says she’s not afraid of Joey, given that if he did anything to her, it would devastate her mom. (Did we just hear a new plot being hatched in Deanna’s head?) Kat urges Deanna to forgive rather than risk wasting time with her mom that she can never get back.
Deanna heads to Uptown, where she spies on Vanessa and Joey — who are planning a getaway — before talking to her dead dad. He’s surprised that Deanna hasn’t yet shut down the Joey/Vanessa romance. Doug suggests Deanna stop pushing her mom away and instead pull her close. “Don’t fight Joey, out play him!” Charged by her dad with doing whatever’s necessary to save their family, Deanna puts on a smile to join Joey and Vanessa in the bar. Saying she wants her mom to be happy, Deanna pulls her into a hug, even as we see the scheming look on her face!
Hayley Changes Bill’s Mind
Picking up where yesterday’s episode left off, Hayley rips into Bill, suggesting that had she not arrived when she did, he’d have sexed up Dani. Bill tries calming his wife, but she’s not having it. Eventually, she convinces him to send the staff home so she can seduce him (and, of course, slip drugs into his drink). She eventually suggests that they should go skydiving to get their pulses racing, and then have sex immediately after. Bill — being afraid of heights — says she’ll have to find another way to kill him. Eventually, however, she convinces him they should give skydiving a try!
Leslie Gets Bad Info
Eva’s recovery takes a momentary hit when Leslie announces she’s not only a changed woman but plans to move in with her daughter! (Shanice’s hysterical reaction to Leslie’s supposed transformation? “Once a trifling heifer, always a trifling heifer!”) Turns out the real reason Leslie wants to move in is that her shouse was destroyed by the tornado. Izaiah, however, doesn’t think that’s such a great idea. Later, he asks for Ted’s help in keeping Leslie from moving in. Having overheard only part of the conversation, Leslie mistakenly thinks he’s asking for Eva’s hand in marriage! Izaiah later sets her straight, while Nicole finds out from Ted that Tomas is planning to ask Kat to marry him.
In Other News…
Kial scores points with Nicole by saying he’s taking on Kat as a patient. His patient, of course, wants details on their budding relationship. Shanice and Ted make plans for a romantic night on the town. Over at the Richardson-Smith home, the kids convince the adults that they need to celebrate. After all, Martin won the primary, Sam won the Platinum Deb title, Smitty’s article is a hit and Tyrell is about to graduate. They enjoy a night of pizza and dominos (but not Dominos pizza). Martin and Smitty make a speech about how proud they are of the kids, then announce they’re all going to the Bahamas after graduation.
