Bold & Beautiful Boss Launching a Whole New Series Full of Familiar Faces

From The Bold and the Beautiful to the more, the merrier. This summer, the show’s executive producer/headwriter Bradley Bell is launching a new microdrama called Hollywood Starlet for aTwist.
No details about the plot were disclosed to our sister site Variety, but we’re gonna go out on a limb and make an educated guess that the action centers around an up-and-coming young actress. The cast includes several easy-on-the-eyes actors who will be familiar to microdrama fans: Bella Mraz (Faceless), Molly Anderson (We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together) and Eric Guilmette (You Belong to Me); Guilmette is also a co-producer on the project.
Oddly, not a single Bold & Beautiful cast member, either past or present, has been attached to the project as yet. And if the show isn’t gonna use the likes of Matthew Atkinson (Thomas) and Lisa Yamada (ex-Luna), wouldn’t we all like to see them in something else? But we digress…
Bell created Hollywood Starlet and is producing with his son, Oliver, who has occasionally appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful as Forrester Creations intern Ginge. (You can see how the character got his nickname below.) Kristen Brancaccio is on tap to write and direct the new show.
Oh, and if you were wondering WTH a microdrama even is, it’s a short-form serial designed specifically to be watched on a smartphone. How short is the form? Episodes are typically under two minutes long. Even we might be able to remember our lines for that long!
