On The Bold and the Beautiful, Dylan went from being a forgotten side character in a hostage crisis to one of the most prominent parts of the show. After months away from the canvas, Dylan resurfaced in Electra’s life, using cryptic anonymous text that claimed responsibility for Luna’s death. After revealing herself as the person behind the messages, she’s somehow deeply infiltrated the Forrester inner circle, first living in Will’s guest house, and more recently having Electra plead with Steffy to hire her. However, what if everyone was wrong, and Dylan never hit Luna with her car and concocted an elaborate lie to cozy up to the rich and famous.
Victim or villain on The Bold and the Beautiful?
From the moment Will uncovered that Dylan was homeless and sleeping in her vehicle, one question sparked: What if she was lying about killing Luna? On the surface, there’s no glaring reason to doubt her story. The way she tells it, she was merely in the wrong place at the wrong time, and it resulted in the loss of a life. That’s certainly one plausible explanation for what occurred, but the red flags surrounding Dylan are everyone, and the writing is on the wall that something far more sinister is brewing from the former art teacher.
It’s a known fact that Dylan was sleeping in her car. What if instead of being the person behind the wheel of Luna’s vehicular execution, Dylan just happened to view it from a distance, sparking an idea for the ultimate con? Dylan knew how much Luna was hated and despised by the Forresters and Spencers. If she was out of a job, didn’t have a place to live, and was running out of options, taking credit for Luna’s death was a surefire way to get in good with the right people.
Steffy was tormented by Luna, so it would make sense as to why Dylan insisted that Will and Electra trot her to her and Finn and issue a formal confession. She had a game plan from the beginning, and she worked over every potential angle to maximize her chances. Dylan likely knew that she couldn’t park where she did when she visited Will at the beach house. It wouldn’t be shocking if she wanted Will to witness firsthand the horror of her life, and she probably assumed that he’d jump at the chance to help her.
What’s next for Dylan?
If Dylan didn’t truly run down Luna with her car, she’s capable of more than anyone realized, making her an imminent threat to their lives. Dylan is one yes away from securing a job at Forrester Creations, which would place her in closer proximity to Will, whom she clearly has a budding attraction for.
Also, despite what the show says, since a body was never shown on camera, there’s always the possibility that Luna isn’t truly dead. If that’s the case, Dylan would have a lot of explaining to do, with that level of deception placing her and Luna on an even playing field.
Dylan hasn’t made any specific moves that prove she can’t be trust. It’s more of an overall vibe and gut feeling. However, if Dylan lied about that, there’s no limit to what she’d do to maintain her new lifestyle. Everyone should remain on high alert because Luna 2.0 has the potential to be far more dangerous than her predecessor.
