As Chanel Gets Bad News, Kristen’s Revenge Against Sophia Turns Deadly and [Spoiler] Collapses!

Anybody else shout “I should have known!” at the screen when it was revealed that the literally explosive ending of yesterday’s episode was a fake out? We kick things off with Johnny still tied up, the candle still burning, and Chanel still at the hospital waiting to get the second set of images taken. Having been alerted to a potential gas leak, Javi and an associate bust down the door and manages to rescue a nearly unconscious Johnny, rushing him to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Chanel is still awaiting the results of her second screening. Eventually, Sarah comes in and the look on her face tells both the patient and us it isn’t good news. Sarah says they need to do a biopsy to be sure, but it looks as if the tumor in Chanel’s breast is malignant.
Sophia Goes Missing!
Sophia’s plans to end things is waylaid when her mom knocks on the bedroom door. The two share an absolutely lovely moment, with Amy admitting she made a lot of mistakes as a mother. Amy says that thanks to all the changes Sophia’s made, “you have such a bright, beautiful future in front of you.” Yeah, let’s not count those unhatched chickens, ma’am! Especially since at that moment, Brady and Jada arrive to take Sophia in for questioning. They realize the young woman climbed out the window, then find Sophia’s suicide note.
Holly tells Tate her internship is dead in the water and the anti-psychotic meds are leaving her system. She suggests that the two of them take a course in abnormal psychology because “it’ll help with the whole Sophia thing.” Um… how, exactly? Doesn’t matter, because he responds by saying he’s dropping out of college! He whines about school boring him and that his new dream is to become a personal trainer. No, seriously, he has a vision. Holly seems almost as skeptical as me, but ultimately comes around. Kinda. Sorta.
An Air Kiss Before Dying
They’re interrupted by Sophia, who calls Holly out for the awful things she posted about her rival. Sophia insists she didn’t mess with Holly’s meds, and things quickly get really ugly between them as Tate sits there like a wet noodle. Holly says she’s glad Johnny and Chanel got the baby away from Sophia, capping things off by saying “We all know you shouldn’t have been let out of Bayview, you crazy bitch! Part of me wishes you really were dead!” In a cool, quiet moment, Sophia calls her former BFF horrible, blows a kiss toward her and Tate and exits, leaving Holly to continue ranting and raving, with Tate agreeing that his babymama is “pure evil.”
Kristen Gets Her Revenge!
As they’d pre-arranged, Sophia meets Kristen on a remote bridge, far from any security cameras. Sophia throws the gun into the river, allowing Kristen to believe that she used it to kill Johnny. Kristen says that before handing over the money which Sophia plans to use in order to start a new life in Paris, she needs to jump in the river and make it look as if she killed herself. “Everybody needs to believe you’re dead,” spells out Kristen. Sophia confirms she wrote the suicide note, saying it will prove to everyone that Johnny and Holly drove her to this desperate act. She weeps that she’ll miss her family, and Kristen instructs her on how to make it look like she killed herself. But things take a shocking turn when Kristen slams a rock into the back of Sophia’s head! “Stupid girl,” she utters as Sophia lays bleeding at her feet, “did you really think that I would let you get away with what you did to my daughter?”
In Friday’s Cliffhangers…
Johnny is rushed into the hospital, where he tells Sarah that Sophia tried to kill him. As Brady is telling Holly and Tate about the suicide note, Sarah calls Jada to tell her what Johnny said. Chanel rushes to Johnny’s side, but doesn’t tell him why she was at the hospital or about her test results. Javi is talking to Sarah when he suddenly collapses. And back at the bridge, two of Kristen’s associates throw Sophia’s body into the water. As she tosses the bloody rock in after the girl, Kristen smirks. “I told you revenge was sweet!”
