The Young and the Restless Monday, June 29 Recap: Nikki’s Surgeon Reveals Operation Outcome, Billy Blows Up at Jill

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Monday, June 29, reveals that Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) surgeon will have some info following her procedure.

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will also unleash his wrath on Jill Abbott (Lauren Koslow), so here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to.

At the GCAC, Billy and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will arrive after getting vague messages about Jill.

That’ll leave Cane and Billy concerned, but Jill will appear and insist she’s fine.

It was just a matter of Snapper Foster’s (last played by David Hasselhoff) assistant being too mysterious when he reached out on Jill’s behalf.

Billy and Cane will think Jill looks healthy, so she’ll confirm it was fine for her to travel and that she’s been getting great medical care.

Jill will admit she had to come back due to everything happening with Chancellor and will break the news to Billy that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) is running it for Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).

Billy will lash out before wondering if this is what Cane and Jill wanted all along.

Jill will acknowledge that she approves of Cane being CEO since Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) previously wanted that.

Billy won’t be happy about any of this, but he’ll insist his priorities have shifted now that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is pregnant and they’re getting married.

Jill will be surprised that she’s just now hearing about the wedding and baby on the way, but she’ll be happy for Billy if this is what he wants.

Billy will confirm that Sally is good for him before circling back to his anger with Cane.

Once Cane’s buttons get pushed, he’ll taunt Billy over craving Jill’s approval.

Billy will end up blowing up at Jill for not having faith in him and yanking Chancellor away.

In the end, Billy will push Jill to tell him why he’s not good enough since he won’t think he can move past this without an answer.

At Crimson Lights, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will take a break from the hospital while Nikki’s surgery is underway.

That’ll give Nick and the others a chance to fill Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) in on the situation, so they’ll worry about Nikki’s vision and whether it’ll be restored.

Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) will pop up after getting info on Nikki’s condition from Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox), so he’ll take Claire to the park and distract her with a funny story.

Even so, Claire will recall birdwatching with Nikki and wonder if her grandmother will ever get to do that again.

Holden will give Claire a pep talk since Nikki’s a fighter.

At the hospital, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will look at Nikki’s wedding ring set and flash back to some moments in his marriage: the good, the bad and the ugly!

It’ll seem like Victor is regretting all the conflict that spiraled out of control between them.

Victor will thank Stephanie for everything she did to help get Dr. Virginia Nottingham to perform the surgery and will make it clear that he’s in her debt.

There’ll also be some talk about Claire and Holden becoming an item.

Once Nikki is out of surgery, the Newmans will gather at the hospital again.

Dr. Nottingham will confirm that they were able to remove all of the mass, but it’ll be too early to know anything for sure about Nikki’s vision.

Nikki’s eyes will still be covered by bandages as her family waits for her to wake up.

Victor will assure unconscious Nikki that they’ll get her through this as he sweetly stays by her side.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say the Newman clan will keep doing whatever they can to help Nikki, so stay tuned.
