Sheila Makes a Dramatic Return as Hope and Steffy Take Turns Shocking One Another

As the episode begins, Steffy is still making Hope shake in her shoes at Forrester. “I know what you’re doing,” Steffy keeps saying even though we all know that she doesn’t. Across town at Spencer, Katie, Bill and Liam fret over Hope’s meeting and the faint possibility that Steffy found out that her stepsister is working at Logan. And at Taylor’s office, she and Deacon are busy canoodling to the tune of Kenny G.
Taylor Gives Deacon a Free ‘Session’
After the opening credits, Taylor pretends that Deacon is tempting her to cancel her schedule — as if she has any patients! After a commercial break, the twosome is still necking. But now they take a break to recap their whole storyline with Sheila. “We literally feared for our lives,” the shrink reminds us.
Has Deacon really not heard from his ex? No, he insists. The last he heard, Sheila was looking for a job and had a roommate. And she still hadn’t signed the divorce papers. But he prefers to think about his future with Taylor, not his past with Sheila.
Logan’s So Doomed, the Forresters Won’t Shut Up About It
In the Forrester showroom, Brooke manages to turn the preview of Eric’s line into talk of Katie and Logan. “Whatever her future is,” Eric says, “depends on her next showing.” Ridge, as always, is dying to know the identity of Logan’s mystery designer. (Why not bribe a secretary?)
From there, the trio badmouth Katie as a way of recapping her journey from their skewed perspective. “Unlike Forrester Creations,” Brooke says, being punny, “there’s no hope for Logan’s future.”
Later, Brooke tells Ridge she hates being estranged from Katie and wishes things could go back to the way they were. Ridge goes so far as to suggest that someday Katie might even be back at FC. Ha!
Steffy Changes Her Tune So Fast, Hope’s Head Spins
While Katie cops to a “bad feeling” about Hope’s meeting with Steffy, Forrester’s co-CEO is changing her tune in a matter of seconds, going from accusing the blonde of bailing when she didn’t get her way to cheerfully telling her that it’s time to come back to work.
A commercial break later, Steffy doubles down, saying the moment is nigh for Hope to restart HFTF… now. At Spencer, Liam and Katie manage to involve Deke in their worries. At the same time, Steffy is rattling off timetables and press-release ideas and so to Hope so fast, she barely has time to work up her “WTH am I hearing?” expression.
Sheila’s Back… and She Doesn’t Look Happy
In the episode’s final moments, Deacon assures Taylor that his divorce really will happen, don’t you worry. She’s happy just not having to hide their relationship anymore. “I don’t think we have to worry about Sheila at all,” Deacon says. “I’m just thankful that she understood that we were over.”
Did she, though? Right on cue, Sheila lets herself into the office, because apparently, Taylor still hasn’t learned the importance of locking her door. Much gasping ensues.
It’s Confession Time For Hope
At Spencer, Katie orders Deke’s line rolled out asap… just as Steffy declares Hope’s leave of absence over. “I’m inviting you home,” Steffy says. When Hope asks what on earth changed, Steffy says, welp, nothing has. They have gotten along in the past, maybe they could again. They are, after all, one big extended family.
To Hope’s shock, Steffy then pulls her into a hug and says she supports her no matter what. “Welcome back.” So, uh, why is Hope being so weird? “I thought you were done with me,” she tells Steffy. Not only that, but too much has happened for Hope to allow Steffy to bring back HFTF now. “And there is something you should know,” she adds, “something I need to tell you.” Here we go!
