Hope Gives Brooke Shocking News — and Will Delivers a Hard-Hitting Warning to R.J.
At Bikini Bar, RJ’s still staring daggers as Will and Electra chat. Dylan asks if he’s having a good time. He tears his attention away to talk to her, but not for long. Meanwhile, Will prods Electra to put the necklace back on.
At the door, Steffy arrives, causing the hostess to gush. Steffy spots Finn and joins him, Taylor and Deacon. Apparently she’s over them being together, as she tells her mom she looks beautiful and congratulates Deacon. Looking around, she asks where Hope is… is she not there on his opening night?
Hope, of course, is at Logan, having just signed a contract. She’s happy, but warns Liam she’s not just leaving Forrester, but her mother. She has to have a talk with Brooke, sooner rather than later. When Bill and Katie return, Liam gives them a heads-up that Hope has gone to talk to Brooke.
Katie muses that day will come when Brooke finds out the real reason Hope left Forrester, and she’ll blame her. Her sister will be so angry! She’d better be prepared for that.
Dropping a Bomb
At Forrester, Hope finds Brooke alone in the office and she says she has news: Steffy’s bringing Hope For the Future back right after the couture line. She’s confident that she’ll come through. They debate for a bit as Hope expresses doubt and Brooke tries convincing her. Cryptically, Hope says it’s too late.
Brooke goes on about how supportive Ridge and Steffy are being, but Hope reminds her mother that her husband wouldn’t make her co-CEO. What she meant by “it’s too late,” is that she can’t wait on Steffy any longer. “I will be taking a hiatus,” she declares. “I need a break and I have to think about me, my career, and my future. I will be stepping away from Forrester Creations.”
Lotsa Concerns
Back at Bikini, Deacon prods Steffy to give his relationship with her mother a chance. They make each other so happy. Steffy tells him she’s still concerned about Sheila. Deacon isn’t discounting Steffy’s concerns, but Sheila accepted it. Steffy learns the divorce isn’t official and correctly guesses that Sheila won’t sign. Deacon says she’s been busy moving in with her new roommate and insists she’s not a threat.
Nearby, RJ listens to the models talk about “how cute” Will and Electra look together. At that moment, Electra lets Will put the necklace back on her. He puts his on and just like that, they’re back together.
As soon as the chance presents itself, RJ approaches Electra and questions her letting Will put the necklace back on her. She says it was past time… they have a history. RJ pleads with her not to go back to him… he’ll only hurt her again. RJ rants until Electra stops him. She’s made her decision. “Will is my future.” Will watches RJ reach to grasp her arm as she gets up. Electra removes his hand and walks away.
The Final Scenes
At Bikini, Will confronts RJ for touching his girl. Dylan watches agog as Will warns the Forrester not to interfere in their relationship and punches him in the gut. After, Will catches up with Electra and they leave.
At Forrester, Brooke informs Hope that a hiatus isn’t necessary. Hope doubles down. She’s taking a leave of absence. She doesn’t trust Steffy and Ridge like she does. Brooke pleads, but Hope refuses to put her life on hold for them any longer. Tearing up, Hope wishes her mother had stood up for herself, for her. This is her standing up. She storms out as Brooke calls her name.
In the corridor, Hope sadly looks around and then walks out.
Back at Bikini, Dylan tends to RJ, who insists he’s fine. They attract attention from Steffy and Finn, who learn that Will hit him. Finn suspects a bruised rib. Steffy gawps, “Because of Will.”
At the beach house, Electra marvels at the candles lit all through the place. Will admits he had someone set it up ahead. He gushes about the relief he felt when she put her necklace back on. She sighs that it feels right: Dylan’s gone, and Ivy’s gone. He expresses his love. He’ll never let go of her again. They kiss.
