A Panicked Rocco Turns to Gio for Help — Plus, Charlotte and Danny Get Themselves Into Big Trouble at Wyndemere
In the apartment above Charlie’s, Justine fears she’s going to have to prosecute her friend Jordan’s man, Curtis. Sonny tells her to stop torturing herself with what could be and focus on what went down.
Justine scrolls through the police report on her phone and tells Sonny what it says. She finds herself with a big choice to make: does she move forward with this case?
Joe Suspects Favoritism
At the PCPD, Joe asks Dante whether this case will cause problems for him, given that he’s new and all. Dante admits Curtis is well-connected as the CEO of Aurora; he’s dating the ex-commissioner and is close with the mayor, who is Dante’s ex-mother-in-law. Joe tells Dante he appreciates the opportunity he gave him, but perhaps he’s not the right fit here.
Joe explains he can’t look the other way, and he gets it happens with people like Curtis in positions of power. He says he’ll sign off on the arrest papers and then hand in his resignation. Dante tells him he’s misread the situation. In his department, Dante states people don’t get special treatment for who they are. (Did Dante say that with a straight face?)
Will Jordan Stand by Curtis?
In the interrogation room, Curtis tells Jordan what went down between him and Isaiah at the restaurant, including Isaiah admitting his car had been in the shop, and that he told him he’d be a better father to his child than he’d ever be. That’s when Curtis says he punched him.
When Curtis mentions that Isaiah didn’t hit him back, as he hit the ground and hurt his hand, Jordan is clearly concerned. She asks, “How badly?” Oddly, we never hear Curtis give her an answer.
Jordan says it sounds like the cop handled things by the book, which, of course, isn’t what Curtis wants to hear. She says she’ll see about getting his paperwork pushed through, she’ll pay his bail, and then they can go home.
Later, Curtis and Jordan walk out, as Curtis is free to go. Jordan tells Dante they’ll be in touch. Curtis gives Joe a look, and once they are gone, Dante tells Joe that now they hand this off to the ADA and see if she thinks there is a case.
Jordan and Curtis return home, and there is a clear silence between them. Curtis finally apologizes for Jordan having to go out in public tonight, even though she wasn’t ready. Jordan says tonight she proved she can face the world, and it’s a step forward. They kiss and hug.
Gio Gives Emma Just What She Needs
At Anna’s, Gio finds Emma crying over a piece of her grandmother’s broken mug, and she explains what happened to it. She says it’s almost symbolic, her grandma’s mug is shattered just like she is, and she can’t fix either of them.
Gio says Anna breaking out of a mental hospital, hijacking a car, and barreling for the border is bad ass. He says Anna may need help, but she’s not broken; she’s still herself. She thanks him for telling her exactly what she needed to hear.
What’s Troubling Valentin?
Valentin finds Carly in her dark living room drinking, and can’t believe she started without him. Carly knows he thinks they need to come up with a cover story about Joss’s whereabouts, but she thinks it’s the wrong move, and her daughter needs help.
Valentin suggests Jack might have sent Joss away to protect her from Cullum. He knows Jack has feelings for Carly, and thinks Jack couldn’t handle Joss getting killed because of him, and what that would do to Carly.
Valentin then gets a call and excuses himself, and his face looks grave… He soon returns with an update on Anna’s situation, and he’s in tears over the news. He updates Carly on what happened, and that Cullum has finally broken Anna.
Danny and Charlotte Will Be Sorry!
At the Q’s, Rocco meets Danny and Charlotte, and none of them wants to keep fighting with one another. Charlotte and Danny say they need Rocco’s help, as they are sneaking into Wyndemere tonight!
Rocco refuses, but Charlotte says they owe it to Danny to help bring his dad home. Rocco wants Jason to come home, but he says Cullum and Sidwell are dangerous, which prompts Danny and Charlotte to ask what Cullum has to do with this, other than being shot, and why Rocco is so scared of him.
Rocco again tells them that if they want to stay safe, they can’t go to Wyndemere, and if they go, he’ll call Alexis and his mom. Danny says he wouldn’t; his brother would never turn on him. Danny and Charlotte walk out, and Rocco loses it.
Rocco heads to Anna’s to see Gio and ask for his help. Emma excuses herself so the brothers can talk, and Rocco says Danny and Charlotte are about to do something stupid, but he stops himself from telling Gio what.
Gio can see Rocco is upset, so he asks him to talk to him. Rocco starts mumbling about doing something to help, only to make things worse, and no one can fix this. He’s scared of what will happen if the truth comes out!
Emma comes out and wonders what is going on, as Rocco is a total mess. Rocco rushes out, and Gio tells Emma that something is not OK with his brother, and he won’t fail him again.
Britt Gets Candid With Cullum
At Wyndemere, Cullum speaks with Sidwell about the investigation into his shooting, and he believes Jason’s son, Danny, is the one who shot him. Cullum says the PCPD misplaced the evidence, and Dante was Danny’s surrogate father, so clearly, he’d want to protect him, along with Jason.
Sidwell says the desire to protect and avenge your children is something he shares with Jason and Sonny, so what is Cullum planning to do with young Danny? Cullum says Danny has to go. Sidwell notes that the murder of a teenager will cause a firestorm, and this teen is a Quartermaine who is connected to the Corinthos family, so be careful, as he could bring this whole operation down if he’s not careful.
That’s when Britt appears and tells them the prototype will be online tomorrow and ready to go. She demands her meds, but Cullum won’t hand them over until she explains why she told the authorities that Jason shot him.
Britt claims she told the cops that Jason shot him because she didn’t want the PCPD digging into what really happened, and Jason was the only one there. She is just sorry Jason didn’t finish the job and get her out of this mess. They have no idea that Danny and Charlotte have snuck in and heard everything!
The kids listen to Cullum, Sidwell, and Britt argue, and Cullum suggests keeping Britt in the subbasement near the lab tonight. Sidwell doesn’t think that is necessary, and Britt says she’s done everything they’ve asked, and he’ll have his prototype in twenty-four hours. Cullum hands over the meds, and Britt injects herself.
Sidwell insists on showing Britt out, and Cullum walks out of the room. Danny and Charlotte emerge from their hiding place and can’t believe what they’ve heard. Charlotte realizes Rocco was right, these guys are dangerous, sick and twisted. Danny says she can go, but he wants to know what is in that basement.
In The Show’s Final Moments
Sonny suggests Justine take Jordan and Curtis out of the equation and asks what she’d do. She would move forward with the prosecution, and admits Sonny gives good advice. They end up in a kiss.
Curtis tells Jordan he should talk to his lawyers and press team and get a jump on this. Jordan believes Justine knows the circumstances and won’t bring a case forward against him.
Carly tells Valentin he’s assuming the worst about Anna, which is what he told her not to do. Valentin says this is a high-security facility for the criminally insane, and Anna doesn’t belong there. He says he’s going to France to break Anna out.
Gio arrives at the station and asks to talk to Dante alone, so they head into the interrogation room. Dante thanks Joe for agreeing to stick around. Once in private, Gio says Rocco came to see him and is in trouble.
Britt returns to her office at GH, only for Rocco to storm in and tell her about Charlotte and Danny.
Finally, as they try to make their way to the subbasement below Wyndemere, Cullum catches Danny and Charlotte!
On the next episode of General Hospital, Cullum orders Danny and Charlotte to move! Britt tells Rocco she knows how to fix this situation. Carly warns Valentin that he’s making a mistake. Lulu tells Ethan that she and Rocco might have to leave town.
