General Hospital Youngster Gives On-Screen Mom Kirsten Storms the Sweetest Send-Off
As General Hospital sunk Maxie into a coma and shipped her off to Massachusetts to await her wake-up call, Gary James Fuller, the 9-year-old who plays her son James, took to Instagram to share a few behind-the-scenes photos from Kirsten Storms’ last tape day and sent the actress the sweetest message.
“We miss you already,” he wrote.
Thankfully, Storms is not gone for good. In July, the fan favorite disclosed via social media that she was taking a break from work to relocate from California to Tennessee. “When you approach a job like this, they can always be like, ‘Forget it. I will let you out of your contract if you’re gonna leave the state,’” she said. “General Hospital did not do that, which was kind of amazing, because I also asked for some time
Not that much time, though; Maxie’s coma won’t last nearly as long as BFF Lulu’s four-year nap! “It’s possible I will be back in December maybe November,” Storms said.
Storms joined the General Hospital cast in 2005 as the older child of classic supercouple Frisco and Felicia Jones. In 2013, she tied the knot with castmate Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny), with whom she shares 11-year-old daughter Harper. The actors divorced in 2016 but now happily coparent Harper.
