Bold & Beautiful executive producer/headwriter Bradley Bell says that the show is going to war — the fashion wars!

Now that the soap has moved into its spacious new studio, “we have the ability to do this,” the boss says. “So we are headed into an era of The Bold and the Beautiful that will begin here that is going to be highlighting fashion much more than we have in the past, much more frequently, and also getting back to a battling-fashion house way of storytelling like we did with the Spectras and the Forresters.”

Bell goes on to say that “we’ll see more fashion shows, but we’ll see more [of] a steady diet of fashion… we’ll see more interaction between the designers and models, more [glimpses] backstage and how it’s all made.”

Which Fashion Houses Will Do Battle?

One question remains: Which two fashion houses will go head to head? Currently, Bold & Beautiful only has Forrester Creations on the canvas. Sally Spectra 2.0’s revival of Spectra Fashions didn’t have the staying power of her great aunt’s knockoff firm. And Jackie M is long gone. Perhaps now that Nick Marone is back in the mix, he’ll revive his mother’s fashion house and bring in as head designer son Jack, who’s working at Forrester International.

Any way you slice it, though, this is good news. “We’re getting back to fashion,” Bell sums up, “putting fashion at the forefront.”
