Ric Forces Sasha to Admit Michael Is the Father of Her Child — and Lucky Proposes to Elizabeth
Jack stops by Anna’s office, assuming he called about some business, but Anna tells him this is personal. She brings him up to speed on Henry Dalton and how, out in California, students who broke into his lab to expose possible nefarious activities were forced to sign an NDA and expelled rather than jailed. Now, a month later, he’s here working at PCU. She says he specializes in cold fusion, and she fears whatever he’s working on is dangerous.
Jack assumes Emma was one of the students Anna is talking about, and he thinks she’s being overprotective and not thinking like an agent. He can’t help her.
Felicia arrives later to see if Anna wants to go for a bite. Anna’s lost her appetite and tells her friend about her meeting with Jack. She wonders if Felicia would want to put her PI hat on and help her. Felicia asks if this isn’t overstepping, and if she is possibly overcompensating with Emma because of Robin. Anna admits she will always carry the guilt of the time she missed out on Robin’s life and not being there when she was diagnosed with HIV. She might be acting overprotective, but her instincts tell her that Dalton is working on soSonny and Laura Discuss Gio, Emma Sets a Trap
At the Metro Court pool, Emma steps out of the pool, and Gio, on duty, hands her a towel. He’s a lifeguard this summer, after being a towel boy last summer. He needs the extra money as he can’t stay with her and Anna forever, but she jokes that he can.
Emma asks how Gio is and if he’s got the answers he needed. He says he some of them, and details that Sonny didn’t know he was his grandson, and Brook Lynn didn’t know he was her kid either. It still doesn’t negate the fact that Brook Lynn didn’t want him. He doesn’t know who to believe, and aside from Emma, the only other person he trusts is Sonny. However, he doesn’t know if he can trust him.
Laura meets with Sonny, noting today is his son’s case. Sonny is staying away from Michael’s hearing, so his presence doesn’t impact it. Laura congratulates him on his new grandson but fears about the implications this will have for their family.
Suddenly, Gio interrupts them and asks Sonny if he’s keeping tabs on him. Laura tells Gio that she asked Sonny to meet her here. Gio quickly apologizes. Sonny tells him that Laura is Rocco’s grandmother. Laura thanks Gio for helping Rocco the night he got into trouble, and she’s sure Rocco is excited to get to know him. Gio wishes he could have done more for his new half-brother, and gets back to work.
Laura notes to Sonny how much pain Gio is clearly in. Sonny explains that Gio is very upset with Dante and Brook Lynn. Laura knows Dante and Lulu had a terrible fight, which is why they should both keep an eye on Rocco. He could use extra support right now, and he needs them to put up a united front for him with the other adults.
Suddenly, Ezra shows up with his phone and tells them to smile as he’s live-streaming this to the people of Port Charles. He again notes that their illustrious mayor is meeting with Port Charles’ very own mob boss.
Meanwhile, Dalton walks over to Emma, who is reading, and says he’s surprised to see her here. He knows the last time they spoke, she was upset about the job. He had no idea it meant that much to her. Emma admits she is jealous of how close Joss gets to work with him this summer. Across the pool, Vaugn watches as he reads a book.
Vaugh gets a call and promptly leaves. Emma asks Dalton if they could meet up sometime soon. She would love to talk about what they discussed in class. Dalton has to go, but he looks forward to meeting soon. Emma says she’ll be in touch.
Gio approaches Emma and asks about that guy. She tells him that he’s the famous Professor Dalton. She asks if he watching her, and Gio confirms Dalton can’t seem to take his eyes off her.
Sonny, meanwhile, tells Ezra he’s in no mood for this. Ezra reminds the audience watching to vote for him for mayor, and yes on Measure C! Suddenly, Gio “accidentally” knocks into Ezra while carrying a stack of towels. Ezra goes into the pool, and Laura jokes with Sonny that she likes his new grandson.
Mission Devane
Vaugn meets with Jack in his office, and Jack reveals that Anna is onto Dalton. She could spook him, and he could run. They need Dalton to finish that tech so the WSB can get it.
Jack says Joss is too green to face an experienced agent like Anna, and she has a mission already. Vaughn says he’ll handle Anna.
Lucky Suripses Liz
Lucky surprises Liz, who just got her cast off, with a romantic lunch in the gazebo. He thought they could celebrate her getting out of her cast, as well as the two of them. They sit down for lunch, and Liz says now that she has the cast off, she’s realizing she’s missed dancing with him. He puts on music and asks her to dance.
Liz feels so special that he did all this for her, but Lucky calls this the setting for the main event. She asks what that would be. He pulls out a ring box and calls it the main event.
Liz tells Lucky that’s a beautiful ring. Lucky asks her to let him say what he needs to. He says he’s loved her since they met, and they’ve had their ups and downs. However, they’ve matured a lot, she more than he, but their connection is still there. He believes they can still have the life they envisioned since they were teens. He gets down on one knee and says all he wants is to spend the rest of her days with her, Aiden and her boys. He asks if she’d do him the honor of marrying him again. Liz cries that she loves him so much, but her answer is no.
Brook Lynn and Lulu Verbally Spar
At her home, Lulu is on the phone with Maxie when Brook Lynn shows up. Lulu says she’ll call Maxie back and asks Brook Lynn what she wants. Brook Lynn wants to know why Lulu had to blow her son’s life up. Lulu tells Brook Lynn if she could change how Gio found out the truth she would, but it doesn’t negate Brook Lynn and her famiy’s lies.
Brook Lynn asks how Lulu found out the truth, and Lulu explains it was the night Rocco got alcohol poisoning, and how protective Lois was of Gio, something didn’t sit right with her. Then she found out Camilla wasn’t pregnant, and put the pieces together. Brook Lynn yells that Lulu still should have stayed out of it. Lulu asks if she really wouldn’t have wanted to know that Gio was her son?
Brook Lynn cries that she’d much rather not know about Gio if it would spare him this pain he’s in now. Lulu says that Gio will get over that and have a family again, including a mother. Brook Lynn isn’t sure, as Gio has pushed her and Dante away and may never forgive them. Brook Lynn tells Lulu to think about how she’d feel if someone made a life-changing decision for one of her kids. Brook Lynn tells her this was always about Lulu wanting to destroy her life, and now she’s succeeded.
Lulu tells Brook Lynn that she and Dante are unbelievable, and she was only trying to do the right thing. Brook Lynn is glad Dante sees through her charade and doesn’t believe her good intentions. Lulu says they know the truth, and now she’s staying out of all this. Brook Lynn tells her she doesn’t get to blow up her life and walk away unscathed. She’s in for a rude awakening! Brook Lynn storms out…
Disorder in the Court!
In court, Ric asks Joss if it isn’t true that Willow’s only desire is to be a good mother to her children. Joss doesn’t know as they aren’t close, and they have never talked about her kids. However, last night at The Nurses Ball in the ladies’ room, Willow stated nothing was more important than being with Drew.
Willow yells that she’s taking things out of context, and the judge reprimands her. Ric asks what else Joss remembers about last night. Joss says it gets fuzzy as that’s when Drew showed up, threatened her, and promised Michael would lose his kids.
Diane calls Michael as her next witness and asks if he loved Willow. He says he did, but he believes his love for Willow blinded him to her faults. He explains that Willow grew up in a cult and believes it affected her in more ways than he ever realized. He says Willow was taught not to bend to the will of others and listen to her cult leader, and that’s what she’s doing with Drew. He goes on to bring up her leukemia and that she didn’t trust him enough to tell him about it, calling her a very damaged person. He says until her issues are resolved, he doesn’t believe Willow can provide a safe and stable home for their kids.
Ric cross-examines and brings up Michael’s own upbringing under Sonny’s roof, including being shot in the head as a child. He also makes sure to point out how Michael once used the courts to sue for custody of his own sister, and then brings up his conviction of manslaughter again.
Diane gets another chance to question Michael and points out how Kristina, not Willow, was the one who facilitated contact with his children while he was in the hospital in Germany. She then brings up Willow signing documents appointing Drew as the children’s guardian should something happen to her. Michael had no idea about that detail. Diane then enters photos of Drew with Jacinda from The Savoy into evidence, noting this is the man Willow named as guardian for her children. She also plays the video of Willow and Drew shagging in the nursery. Diane rests her case.
Ric presents his case, calling Nina as his first witness. She testifies to having seen the footage that just played the night of the Quartermaine Christmas party, and it came about because Michael secretly placed a nanny cam in the nursery without Willow’s knowledge. He brings up Willow leaving that night with her children and with Michael’s permission. Nina says, unlike Carly’s description of the night in question, the children were not miserable, and Wiley was happy to have a sleepover at her place. Ric asks Nina what her opinion of Michael is. Nina believes he doesn’t want full custody of his kids, he just wants to punish Willow for falling out of love with him.
Diane gets her turn to question Nina, forcing her to admit she hasn’t talked to Michael in months, and her opinion of him and his intentions is just speculation.
As everything is going down, Joss gets a text and is called away to work, and she lets her mom know.
Ric calls Sasha to the stand. Sasha explains her job details and that she and Willow were friends until she saw Willow kissing Drew on the Fourth of July. Ric brings up her previous relationship with Michael, and asks when it ended. She says it ended in 2021. Ric asks Sasha, “And when was the last time you and Mr. Corinthos had sex?” Sasha is confused why he’s asking that, but he thinks she knows exactly why. He asks if she was at the Brown Dog Bar on a certain night. She admits she was, and she had a lot of drinks because she just found out her boyfriend was her cousin. Ric gets her to admit that she left the bar with Michel. Willow is stunned, and so is Drew.
Ric asks Sasha if she and Michael had sexual relations that night. He points out that perjury carries a seven-month sentence, and she wouldn’t want to have her baby in prison. Sasha admits they had sex, and everyone, including Carly, is shocked again. Ric asks if she is still claiming Jason is the father of her child, or if the truth is that Michael is the father. She calls him a disgusting creep, but admits Michael is the father of her child. Drew and Willow’s jaws hit the floor. Carly, too, is flabbergasted.
