Beyond the Gates Preview Week of July 6: Naomi’s BRCA Confession – Tomas’ Public Proposal to Kat
Beyond the Gates (BTG) spoilers for the week of July 6-10 reveal that Naomi Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) could make a BRCA confession, while Tomas Navarro (Alex Alegria) makes a very public proposal to Katherine “Kat” Richardson (Colby Natasha Nixon).
The CBS soap just released its promo for the week of July 6, so let’s unpack all the fun drama set to unfold.
But, before we do, there’s an important pre-emption notice to talk about.
BTG will not be seen during the week of June 29-July 3. The next five days will be repeats, but it sounds like it’ll be worth the wait once the following week hits!
The Beyond the Gates preview starts with a scene where Kat is walking into the Dupree mansion, with Tomas by her side.
Her entire family is gathered in the entrance way, as they scream, “Surprise!”
It looks like Kat will get a welcome home party when she is released from the hospital, but there are far bigger things that will happen at the celebration to stun her (more on that below).
As the promo video continues, Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) is at the casino talking with Randy Parker (Maurice P. Kerry).
He asks Randy if Deanna McBride (Angela Fairley) would recognize him.
The henchman replies, “Maybe? Why?” Joey notes, “She’s the job,” as a scene is shown of Randy hugging Deanna.
Will Joey ask Randy to seduce Vanessa McBride’s (Lauren Buglioli) daughter?
As scenes shift, Mike Davis (Pierce Lackey) is shown next, smugly walking into Bill Hamilton’s (Timon Kyle Durrett) office.
Hayley Hamilton (Marquita Goings) is next to Bill as she tells the slimeball lawyer she thinks he’s nuts if he believes he’s going to win this case. This is when Mike declares he is going to win.
The next clip shows Bill, Mike, Naomi, and Dr. Madison Montgomery (Kenjah) sitting at the table in Bill’s office, so will the parties attempt a negotiation? Will Mike agree to Bill’s terms?
Mike may reject any idea of wrapping this case up before it goes to court, as he’s dying to go toe-to-toe with his former boss.
Speaking of Naomi, the next clip shows her with Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley).
Her mom tells her that if Naomi reached out for solace in her marriage, everyone would understand.
Is Dani just saying this to make herself feel better? Regardless, Naomi gets highly emotional at this point and tells Dani she’s been lying “to him” for months.
Naomi hasn’t only been lying to Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) about her BRCA test results, but also to her entire family. Will she come clean with Dani?
Elsewhere, Dr. Monica McCormick (Iona Morris Jackson), Garland Memorial’s new chief of staff, will drop a bombshell on Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant).
In the BTG promo, the lady tells Leslie, in front of the nurse’s station, that the agreement the hospital had with the free clinic is finished.
Leslie is shocked, but how will she lash back over this? As the preview video winds down, Tomas is in the Dupree living room, down on one knee in front of Kat, who is on the couch.
The Dupree family is gathered, as Tomas says, “Will you do the honor of my life, and marry me?” The promo closes with Kat’s shocked look.
Beyond the Gates spoilers suggest there’s a good chance that Kat says, “no”, so could this be the end of her whirlwind romance with Tomas if his ego gets bruised by her wedding rejection?
