The Young and the Restless Week of June 22 Preview: Matt & Phyllis’ Date, Jack’s Doctor Trap, Nikki’s Crushing Blow
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) preview video for the week of June 22-26 reveals that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will have romance on his mind while Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) works on a sneaky plan.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will also face some life-threatening news, so there’ll be a lot happening in Genoa City.
Y&R’s weekly promo kicks off with Matt suggesting that once upon a time, there was a man with no memory who met a woman and asked her on a date.
It looks like Matt will still be interested in Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) despite her previous betrayal.
Matt used to be a monster, but he’s not that guy anymore.
Phyllis can see that, so love could eventually bloom and lead to her becoming a full-fledged couple with Matt.
Over with Jack, he’ll talk to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) about a risky plot that could help him get Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) back.
Jack will insist that all he really has to do is lure the doctor away from his house, but Billy will have some concerns.
It sounds like Jack will discover that Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns) is keeping Diane at his private residence.
Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) claims that Diane is at a clinic under the care of a different doctor instead, but Jack will presumably learn the truth.
Maybe Diane will manage to figure out the password on the phone she found and ultimately get a call out to Jack.
Then again, Jack might put some new clues together himself and realize Diane must be stuck at Dr. Markham’s house.
Regardless, Billy will push Jack to consider what will happen when Dr. Markham becomes suspicious of him.
It could spell trouble for Jack as well as Diane, who could disappear if the doc gets spooked.
Y&R’s weekly preview video also features Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) comforting Nikki, who’s set to deal with a crushing blow thanks to a life-threatening diagnosis.
Victoria will promise that they’re going to do everything they can to fix this, but Nikki will still be in the shock and denial phase.
Nikki will feel like this can’t be happening, but she’ll have to accept reality soon enough.
Based on Nikki’s symptoms, it seems like a brain tumor may be the horrible challenge she’s facing.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victoria will do everything she can to console Nikki and convince her to fight for survival, so stay tuned.
