Dylan Breaks Her Promise to Electra — and the New Hope Logan Line Is Born

At Logan, Liam tells Will how happy he is to have him there. Will makes it clear he’s working for his mom, not his dad. Swerving, he brings up the huge news that Hope’s joined Logan. They eyeball Deke’s designs and Liam warns that this has to be a well-kept secret.

Will’s reluctant to keep a secret from Electra given he just got her back, but assures his brother that if they find out, it won’t come from him. Liam gives a rah-rah speech about sticking it to the Forresters and taking away their crown. Will warns that it could end his wife’s relationship with her mother as well.

Talk turns to Deke and Will assures Liam that he’s rooting for the guy given what happened at Forrester. Liam is happy for him and Hope, but worries about the weight on his wife because of Brooke. Her mother should be happy for her, not angry with her.

Ballistic

In the showroom, Katie tells Hope they’ve upped security to keep this top secret. Unsurprisingly, Brooke’s name comes up. Katie tells her niece they had quite the encounter. Hope’s stunned to hear that her mother slapped Katie, who warns about her reaction when she finds out she’s working there. Katie then tells her about their agreement… she can hire as many Spencers as she wants. “Including you, Hope. Hope Spencer.”

Hope marvels at Katie getting her mother to agree with this. Her aunt muses that Brooke probably didn’t realize it included Hope, “But all’s fair in love and fashion.” She’s sure she’ll still go ballistic.

Deke joins them and admits he’s nervous for the preview. His phone rings – it’s Remy. Deke ignores the call. Will and Liam come in and Hope learns that Bill’s son works there now… he was fired from Forrester just like Deke. Hope is glad to be working with the family who supports her and her vision.

Sidelined

At Forrester, Ridge and Brooke enthuse over having three generations of Forrester working together with him, Eric and RJ. Brooke asks where their son is and Ridge tells her that he’s with Dylan at Bikini. Brooke gasps. He has feelings for Electra!

Talk turns to Hope and Brooke goes over her daughter feeling sidelined. Ridge assures her she’ll one day be center stage again when they’re done with couture.

Dylan Dances Again

At Bikini, RJ assures Dylan that his dad was cool with them going for breakfast. She’s relieved given she’d never want to jeopardize her position at Forrester. He knows she’s doing great because Daphne asked her to be her assistant. Knowing she’s working two jobs, he asks if she’s OK… or does she need help?

Dylan asks, “Financially?!” RJ groans, that’s not what he meant. She assures him she’s getting back on her feet. He says he’s there for her if she needs anything, and marvels at her positive attitude and resilient spirit. Dylan’s life is so great she feels like dancing and pulls RJ onto the floor. As is wont to happen when Dylan dances, she loses her balance and ends up in his arms, up close and personal.

The Final Scenes

At Bikini, RJ tells Dylan that Will and Electra moved on… shouldn’t they do the same? Dylan doesn’t know if she can yet. RJ asks her, “How about a date?” She accepts… and just like that, she breaks her promise to Electra not to date anyone at work.

At Forrester, Brooke goes on to Ridge about Hope and her line. He assures her again that she’ll have her place in the sun.

At Logan, the fashion preview is underway, and the styles are cute, with blue fur and knee-high snakeskin boots. A real departure from Hope’s usual boho. Katie thanks the models, reminds them of the NDA’s they signed, and then tells Deke and Hope to come out of hiding.

Deke’s anxious for everyone’s feedback. Katie explains they’ll get into it later and declares this is their time, right here, right now. The Hope Logan line is born. She warns the fallout will be explosive, but Hope’s vision will never be put on hold again. “This is the House of Logan.” They all chant, “Logan” and applaud.
