Obrecht Wakes Up a Prisoner With Joss — and Laura Tells Sidwell to Shove It!

Joss is working out in her cell when Cullum appears and asks what she’s doing there. Joss says clearly, he and his partners don’t share everything. Cullum states he’ll clear that up, and she’s got a roommate until then. A man brings in a drugged Obrecht and throws her on the couch, and he and Cullum depart.
Cullum Wants Answers
Upstairs, Sidwell is eating lunch, and Cassius informs him that he has no new leads on Britt. Sidwell says she’s no longer a priority, as he and Cullum have found someone to replace her: his mother! Cassius isn’t pleased, but Jenz points out she doesn’t even know who he really is. That’s when Cullum appears and asks why Joss is in the cell downstairs? Sidwell tells Cullum the truth about the junior WSB agent, which doesn’t sit well with him. Sidwell then receives a call and leaves to address a problem.
Ross announces he’s going to take care of Joss, but Cassius stops him. He says there are powerful people who would pay for her safe return; she’s a bargaining chip, and Jenz agrees. Ross says he’ll discuss this with Jenz, but they crossed the line by not telling him about any of this. They need to keep each other in the loop. He says, “Like you did when you took my mother!”
Ross tells Cassius that Faison would have been disappointed in him, as he’s nowhere near as brilliant as his family. Cassius says he has other things in common with his father, so tread lightly.
Joss Fills Obrecht In
Back in the cell, Obrecht comes to, sees Joss, and is confused. Joss tells her everything she knows: they’re under Wyndemere, she’s a WSB agent, and Anna was held here as well because she figured out Sidwell and Cullum were working on Faison’s final project dealing with cold fusion.
Obrecht says Faison has fantasized about that all his life, but Joss says they are apparently on the verge of making it happen. Joss says that’s why Obrecht is here; their lead scientist walked out before it was done. Obrecht puts the pieces together and realizes it was Britt. She asks why she would do this. Joss tells her she wasn’t doing it willingly. Obrecht doesn’t understand; if she was in trouble and couldn’t come to her, why didn’t she go to “Nathan?”
Putting Sidwell In His Place
At The Metro Court Gardens, Curtis runs into Laura and Sonny and says hello. He heads off, and Sonny and Laura are about to put their plan into play. Laura calls to have Sidwell’s helipad and flight plan shut down and says to direct him to The Metro Court Gardens if he has questions.
Sidwell finally arrives, and Laura says she had to ground his helicopter because of all the complaints. He suggests she rectify this, and she calls his bluff. She tells him to go for it and expose her for the murder he committed. She tells him to do his worst!
Sidwell thinks Sonny put her up to this, but Sonny says nobody puts Laura up to anything, and he also is done with him. Sidwell says they haven’t won, and when she’s in prison, he’ll have Ezra take her place and fix this. He then storms off, and Laura dances in excitement. Sonny calls watching that a thing of beauty.
Will Curtis’ Plan Work?
Curtis meets with Alexis and asks her to defend him. She says she’s sorry, but she can’t. She explains she can’t represent him legally when she already knows of an existing lawsuit against him; it is against ethics. He assumes Isaiah hired her to sue him, but she says Isaiah is not her client.
Curtis is glad she at least turned him down, and explains his plan to put Isaiah on trial for goading him, and to convince the jury it was Isaiah who left him and Portia to die. She calls it a strategy, but it could backfire. She warns he could look like a spurned ex who took his anger out on his rival, and it could get him a guilty verdict.
What Does Portia Ask of Isaiah?
At the hospital, Portia meets with Isaiah, who just talked to Terry and the board about his replacement. He’s staying on as a consultant, and his job is there for him to return to if and when his hand heals. He then informs her that he’s planning to take Curtis to court and has already spoken to several attorneys, including Alexis, who turned him down.
They discuss how messy this will get, and Isaiah wishes he could let this go. Portia won’t ask him to, as he’s in the right, but she suggests he just hold off on this for now.
Kristina Offers Lucas a Side Job
Elsewhere, Lucas gets a text from Sonny that they are about to pull the trigger. Kristina meets with the doctor and shows him the plans for The Marco Rios Memorial Tennis Courts. She’s just sad she won’t be here to see it open. Kristina fills him in on her med school plans, and he’s thrilled for her. She also says she leaves in a few days to shadow a doctor for the summer and still has to tell her parents.
Kristina says it will be easy to get a manager for Charlie’s, but finding someone to take over The Corinthos-Davis house is another story. She hints that he might take over for her, and all he has to do is attend board meetings here and there. Lucas says he’d be thrilled, as it helps him connect with Marco. He also knows she’s going to be a great doctor as she has such a big heart.
Kai Gives Trina Advice
Kai and Trina step out of Bobbie’s with drinks, and she gets a call about renting a rehearsal space for her and Gio. They have an opening today, but she can’t take it as she must finish plans for the baby shower.
Kai feels she needs to focus on the showcase, but Trina believes this baby shower is her parents’ last chance to put their anger behind them before the baby comes. Kai tells her that she can’t save her parents from themselves; only they can. He urges her to forget about her parents’ problems and put herself and her singing first.
In The Show’s Final Moments
Trina thanks Kai for his advice and encouragement. As soon as the shower is over, the showcase will have her full attention.
Portia asks Isaiah to wait to file the lawsuit until after the baby is born. She says Curtis’ trial is a lot for Trina to handle already, and that she and Trina are finally back on track. Isaiah agrees to wait a few months.
Curtis thanks Alexis for the warning, but going to trial may be the only way to hold Isaiah accountable. While he may never face criminal charges, Curtis says his reputation would be damaged, and he could lose his medical license.
Laura and Sonny discuss how Sidwell will retaliate, and who he’ll lash out at.
Sidwell returns home, ignores Ross, who wants answers, and heads straight to his safe. He vows to expose Sonny and Laura, only to find his evidence is gone! He then recalls finding Lucas in the living room the other day. That’s when Lucas calls him, right on cue.
Lucas leaves a message with Jenz to meet him at the construction site of Marco’s tennis center right now…
Finally, down in the cell, Joss is about to tell Obrecht the truth about “Nathan” when Cassius opens the door. Obrecht smiles at him…
On the next episode of General Hospital, Joss tells Cassius this is his chance to help them escape. At the baby shower, Isaiah asks Jordan not to believe Curtis’s lies about him. Meanwhile, Curtis tells Portia he won’t break the piece, but he also won’t back down from a fight. Brook Lynn confronts Willow and wants to settle things once and for all.
