An Impossible Task? Is Bold & Beautiful’s Wyatt Really Back for *That*?!
Of all the reasons for Wyatt to return to The Bold and the Beautiful, the Hope for the Future diamond was not one that was on our radar! We haven’t seen it for some time and, honestly, kind of forgot about it. And we’re betting quite a few viewers have as well — not to mention those who just weren’t watching back when the diamond was bouncing around!
To put it simply, the diamond was, well, a publicity stunt. Back when everyone was working for Forrester and their jewelry line was flourishing, Quinn sent Wyatt and Hope down to Mexico to get their hands on a recreation of the famous Hope diamond for a Hope for the Future campaign.
There were also some vague magical properties about it, claiming that those who see it are led to their destinies. Bold & Beautiful, we all know, is big on destinies. So that was probably a draw for Wyatt as well, since this was back when he was pining over Hope as she was getting ready to marry Liam.
Its owner, Ricardo Montemayor (not Montalbán, sorry), loaned it to them only to mysteriously leave it to Wyatt after his sudden death. At the time, the deceased man seemed to leave a coded video message that implicated Quinn as his murderer, but nothing ever came of that.
This was back when Kimberly Matula was playing Hope.

In any case, Wyatt presented it to Hope herself during a press conference, only for Liam to demand she give it back in a fit of jealousy. But she and Liam broke up shortly after during the infamous Eiffel Tower debacle when Hope and Liam were supposed to meet up, only for him to get sidetracked rescuing Ivy from the river. Hope got tired of waiting for Liam and jumped immediately into Wyatt’s arms — and a marriage!
That didn’t work out, and we lost track of the Hope for the Future diamond, but since it was willed to Wyatt, we’re guessing it’s been in his possession. And that, of course, is why Bill wants it to sweeten the Logan deal with Hope. Or for another publicity stunt.
Though judging by Wyatt’s reaction on Wednesday, our guess is he may not actually have it after all. That, we’re betting, is where Shauna comes in!
