On Crimson Lights’ patio, Sally and Audra end their work meeting (cause who needs an office?) and Sally becomes winded. Audra forces her to eat a scone, and Sally asks for a favor.

Audra asks what she can take off her plate, and she doesn’t mean the scone. Sally tells her pal there’s something only she can handle and asks her to be her maid of honor, warning that there can be no objections at the ceremony. Audra agrees and they giggle.

Inside, Patty spots Jack arriving and asks if he got her flowers. He says he did… and threw them in the trash. Confused, Patty reminds Jack that he suggested a collaboration the last time they talked. Jack crabs about her not giving him an answer and her flowers being too forward. Patty tries smoothing the waters, vowing to prove she’s changed and deserves a second chance.

They argue about Jack forgiving Diane, but not Patty. Jack says there was something redeemable in his wife and warns her not to compare what happened between them to his relationship with Diane. Patty takes this as a challenge and tells him they have a connection too. He’ll be very surprised how this all works out.

Bomb Dropped

At Society, Adam bellies up to the bar, where Billy tells the bartender to put his drink on his tab. Adam notes his celebratory mood, and Billy alludes to big news. Adam snarks that it can’t be about Chancellor because he lost that again… and his name is off of Spectra Charles. Maybe it’s because he hasn’t been arrested yet? Billy grunts about his father fabricating the emails. His mood won’t be brought down.

Unable to contain himself any longer, Billy informs Adam that he and Sally are getting married in October. Adam suggests they won’t make it that long. Billy insists he’s wrong. They’re building a life together… and a family. Acknowledging that Sally probably wanted to tell him herself in person, Billy goes ahead and reveals that she’s pregnant.

Adam stops short of offering congratulations. Billy waxes on about them finding common ground as fathers, but Adam accuses him of wanting to rub his nose in this news. Billy snarks that he’ll tell Sally he wishes her the best and walks out. Something tells us Sally’s going to be pissed about this.

Making Moves

In her office, Phyllis paces and fidgets like a cat in a room full of rocking chairs. Finally, she calls Matt and begs for a chance to explain why she *checks notes* knocked him out, tied him up and gagged him. She declares that she was trying to protect him because he was going to leave. She had to do what she did because she’s… developed feelings for him. “Please just call me.”

Phyllis soon gets a call from Matt asking if she meant what she said about having feelings for him. She says, “Absolutely,” and pleads with him to meet with her.

It’s not long before Matt arrives at Summers Conglomerate and admires the “set up.” He chirps that Patty told him she stole the company and planned to trade him to get the Newmans to drop some charges against her. Has it all been a lie?

Phyllis insists she genuinely likes him, and he asks her to list the reasons why. Phyllis plays along. He then asks her help to help her with the Newmans. Phyllis needs to send a text and then they’ll brainstorm. Matt confronts her about knocking him out and tying him up. Phyllis was worried he was in danger… she doesn’t connect with many people as she has with him. Matt, softening, feels the same way. He moves in for a kiss.Phyllis Matt Y&R

Their lips almost meet, but Matt suddenly bolts, worried that he’s married. He keeps getting flashes of a woman’s face. Phyllis tells him he was, but he’s not anymore. Sienna is now involved with Noah. Matt gawps, “The kid who tapped me in the park, are you serious?!” Overjoyed, Matt realizes he has a reason to be mad, and may not be the monster everyone says he is!

Delusions Abound

Arriving at the door to the ranch, Nick pops a fentanyl before going inside to see what Victor wants. Victor informs him he got a call from Patty Williams about Matt Clark. They discuss the situation with Phyllis and Matt. Victor says Adam suggested that Nick may have been negotiating with Phyllis behind his back.

Nick cops to it but explains that even if she only hands over Matt, Phyllis could be facing charges for aiding and abetting a fugitive, given Clark is wanted for his crimes in Vegas. He explains that Phyllis has lost track of Matt. Patty may have helped him, but what does she want in return? Victor guesses they’ll find out.

Patty soon arrives and Nick, snarly, reminds her he only sees the woman who nearly killed his daughter and his father. Patty gives him the “changed” routine and walks past him to Victor, who asks about Matt Clark. Patty says he’s fine and she’s there to make a deal.

Patty wants Victor to vouch for her to the rest of the town and let them all know she’s changed. Nick hopes she’s not planning an extended stay. Patty announces she’s moving back for good and will one of the most prominent and involved citizens. “I am going to be the next Mrs. Jack Abbott.”

Victor chuckles and Nick says she’s delusional. Patty, confident as ever, asks if they have a deal. Just then, Nick gets a text from Phyllis and shows his dad.

Making Nice

Billy joins Sally and Audra on the Crimson Lights’ patio and learns that Audra has agreed to be maid of honor. Billy, still in a supremely good mood after making Adam miserable, makes nice with Audra, who kindly lets him know that the bride-to-be had a dizzy spell earlier.

Back at Society, Adam’s still twitching over Billy’s news when Chelsea arrives, yammering away about Connor. She quickly realizes something is wrong. Adam says he ran into Billy, who told him he and Sally are getting married. She’s making a big mistake. This clearly irks Chelsea. Why is he so upset? Adam says it’s not about the marriage. “Sally’s pregnant.”

Jack Rants

Traci greets Jack at the Abbott mansion and notices he’s stressed. Jack rants about Patty trying to get him to forgive her… it’s stomach-turning. Her delusion proves she’s as far from rehabilitated as you can get. They discuss the pain Patty caused Traci (causing her daughter, Colleen’s, death), who then updates Jack that she asked Diane to extend some forgiveness toward him. They discuss Diane not reaching out to anyone, even Kyle. Jack vows Victor and Patty won’t get away with this.

The Final Scenes

In Phyllis’ office, Matt can’t remember Sienna but tells Red he wants to talk to her and the kid. Phyllis warns, “That’s a bad idea.” Suddenly, Victor and Nick walk in. Matt snaps his head around to look at Phyllis questioningly.

At Society, Chelsea realizes Adam is thinking about Ava (the baby he and Sally lost), and gets why he’s upset. Adam thinks about her every day; it still hurts. Chelsea assures him he can talk about Ava with her. She’s there for him.

At the Abbott house, Traci tries to dissuade Jack from pursuing revenge on Victor and Patty. She still believes he can work things out with Diane… but only if he focuses all his energy on her.

Inside Crimson Lights, Patty hisses into her phone for Matt to pick up. “Where the hell are you?!” She hopes he hasn’t let Phyllis lure him back in.

Back in Phyllis’ office, Matt asks her, “Who are these guys?” He recognizes Nick as the guy who punched him in the park. Phyllis asks her ex why he brought Victor. The Mustache declares, “Phyllis this ends now and here, alright?”
