Amy Blames Holly and Ari DAYS

At Stephanie and Alex’s place, she wakes up in a bit of a daze and looks around, going to a drawer in the living room and taking out her gun. Because that’s a safe and sane place to keep it. So, who is she going to accidentally shoot?

Stephanie and her gun DAYS

Alex wakes up, comes out, and sees a message on his phone. The paternity test is in and confirms he’s Kelsey’s father. Stephania says they pretty much knew this. There is a knock at the door, it’s Julie, who is sorry to intrude, but reveals Jeremy has left for New York, and she was hoping Stephanie might know why. Stephanie does, and suggests to Alex that she talk with Julie alone, so Alex heads off for coffee.

Julie needs answers DAys

Why Did Jeremy Leave Salem?

Stephanie tells Julie about Joy and the baby fiasco, and how Jeremy arranged their return to Salem to break up her marriage. Julie doesn’t condone what Jeremy did, but perhaps it’s best that Joy and the baby are here so Alex can know his daughter. Stephanie agrees, but it’s just such bad timing.

Julie and Stephanie talk Days

Julie says life doesn’t follow their plans or schedule, and life tests love, but sometimes the challenge makes love grow stronger. Julie feels for Stephanie, and she was in a similar situation once. Julie brings up the boy she was once mad about, but he married her best friend as she was pregnant with his baby (David Martin and Susan Hunter, for those wondering about the storyline). She lost the boy, but the silver lining was that she never would have met Doug if she hadn’t. She tells Stephanie that if it’s meant to be for her and Alex, it will be.

Is Joy Secretly Scheming to Steal Alex?

At the Salem Inn, Joy is woken by her crying daughter, who is upset because she’s in a strange place. She says she’ll get used to Salem. She manages to get her back to sleep and then gets a call from Jeremy letting her know he’s moving back to New York.

Later, Alex runs into Joy and Kelsey at The Brady Pub and tells Joy about the test results. He knows she has a life in New York and won’t ask her to stay, but he wants to spend as much time with his daughter as he can. Joy wants that too and admits she doesn’t have much of a life in New York to go back to. Joy admits she wants to stay in Salem if he’s OK with it. Alex wants them to stay.

Alex Joy and their daughter Days

Joy asks how Stephanie will feel, and Alex believes she understands they all must adapt. He also admits there is a lot going on between him and his wife, and tells her about the kidnapping. Joy feels she shouldn’t have come, but he tells her that he doesn’t want her and Kelsey to go back to New York.

Who Is Tyler Kiriakis?

At the Kiriakis estate, Philip wakes up in bed and finds Gabi reading about Hank. She tells Philip all about the guy and vows that Ari will never see this Hank person again. Philip says that would be a mistake, as Ari will just rebel over her mom trying to control her life. Gabi says no offense, but he doesn’t have kids. He rolls over to go back to sleep.

Philip and Gabi talk DAYS

Gabi eventually apologizes for how she spoke to him, and he says he knows he didn’t raise a teen but remembers being one. He asks her to put herself in Ari’s place and how she’d feel if her mom tried to control who she saw. He brings up when he thought Claire was his daughter, and he’s wanted to tell her this before, but he does have a child out there.

Philip has a child Days

Philip tells her about his and Mimi’s kid, conceived through IVF, Tyler, whom they gave up for adoption to their surrogate. He’s never been the boy’s parent, but he cares about him and wonders what he’s up to. Someday, he imagines they may meet and get to know one another. Gabi apologizes for what she said and didn’t mean to hurt his feelings. He knows, but she did hurt them.

Gee, who thinks Tyler is coming to Salem soon?

Philip is sorry for making this about himself, and she has a right to worry about Ari. However, telling Ari not to see Hank is the best way to make sure she keeps seeing him. Gabi admits he’s right.

Holly, Ari, and Tate Learn About Sophia

In Horton Square, Tate, Ari, and Holly have been looking all night for Sophia. Tate gets a call from his dad and relays to the young ladies that they haven’t found Sophia but are pretty sure she’s gone. He tells her they found a backpack, and it looks like Sophia jumped into the river. Ari and Holly can’t believe it, and Holly never wanted this to happen.

Holy and Ari feel guilty DAYS

Ari also had a big blowout with Sophia yesterday. They ask Tate, who is silent, how he is. He begins to cry over how he tried to do right by Sophia, only to end up hurting her. He blames himself for how she acted out because Sophia thought they had a chance as a couple, even though they never did. Holly comforts him.

Tate blames himself DAYS

Holly and Ari tell Tate that he is not to blame and that he was just trying to be a good guy. She says Sophia was mentally ill and not in her right mind when she committed suicide. Ari suggests the better term her psych professor uses is died by suicide, as committed makes it sound like a crime.

Amy Blames Holly for Sophia’s Death

Jada brings Sophia’s mom, Amy, into the Salem PD to explain that their divers are searching the Salem River for Sophia. They found her shoe, and blood on a backpack nearby, and they need a hairbrush or toothbrush of Sophia’s to run a DNA test.

Amy doesn’t understand how her daughter could do this, as she never gave up. Amy blames Holly Jonas for Sophia’s death. She recounts all the trauma her daughter went through this past year, and Jada is so sorry. Amy hopes Sophia knows how much she loved her.

Amy learns Sophia may be dead DAYS

Amy asks Jada for an honest answer. Is there a chance Sophia is still alive? Jada says until they have a body, there is always hope. However, given the evidence, the chances that Sophia is alive are slim. Amy breaks down, and Jada comforts her.

Back in Horton Square, Amy arrives just as Holly is trying to convince Tate that Sophia did this to herself. She blurts out, “No, you did this to her!” Holly says she’s sorry, but Amy says Holly drove Sophia to this.

Sophia blamed Holly in her own suicide note, and Amy reads it to them. She also blames Ari for what both girls wrote on their nasty gossip site about her child. Amy says Holly did everything she could to make sure Sophia was hated, and she cries that they are dragging the Salem River right now for her baby’s dead body.

In The Show’s Final Moments

Alex returns home with coffee for Stephanie. Julie just left, but Steph says they talked. Alex says he ran into Joy at the pub, and she’s going to stay in Salem.

Joy returns to her room at the Salem Inn with the baby and is over the moon that Alex wants them to stay.

Finally, Amy tells Holly and Ari that they bullied her daughter into wanting to end her life. Cyberbullying is a crime, and she will make sure they pay! Amy storms off as Holly breaks down in tears.
