Christine Has Phyllis Arrested — and Victor Kicks [Spoiler] Out of the Ranch
her fight with Victor. Talk turns to Matt, and Nick explains that Sienna claims to have killed him.
Nick admits he’ll still be sleeping with one eye open. Nikki brings up his “darker” behavior and Nick confesses that that he got hooked on opioids and Matt fed him bad fentanyl. Nikki tears up and kicks herself for not seeing the signs.
Nick thought he could stop but he was wrong. Nikki understands because of her alcohol addiction. She warns he’ll have slip-ups, but she won’t judge him. He vows to beat this. Switching gears, Nick asks if she left because of Jack. Nikki thinks something snapped in Victor’s head. Nick reminds her Newman is tied to his self-worth. Nikki isn’t ready to forgive him… and may never be.
Questioning Sienna
At Sharon’s place, Sienna thanks Noah for coming after her. Sharon appears, and Noah prompts his girlfriend to tell his mom what happened to Matt. Sienna explains that after the explosion, Matt told her Noah was dead. She wanted to get away, but he came after her and she fought him… and killed him.
Sienna flashes back to Matt pinning her on the ground and choking her. She grabbed a big rock and hit him with as much force as she could. He moved, so she hit him again even harder. Before she left, she felt for a pulse and didn’t feel one. “I killed him.” Noah declares that he’s finally gone for good.
Sharon questions how long it was between the second blow and taking Matt’s pulse. The shock of being knocked out can make the pulse briefly undetectable. She wants the location so Victor’s team can go verify. Sienna isn’t sure she can tell her, but she remembers a water park structure nearby. Starting to freak out, she worries he’s still alive.
Alive
In a diner, Matt, very much alive, nurses his wounds. Going through his pockets, he finds a key card from the Genoa City Athletic Club. He asks his waitress how far he is away from the place. She says they’re about 2000 miles from Wisconsin.
Take Her Away
Christine shows up at Phyllis’ office with a cop, prompting the redhead to roll her eyes. They spar verbally over the bogus evidence and Christine has her arrested. Phyllis needles that this is a big mistake. Christine insists it’s not personal. She committed a crime and must be held accountable!
Phyllis admits that Christine is a smart woman, which is why she can’t believe she’d subject herself to such humiliation. She saw an opportunity, took it, and it paid off. Christine orders the cop to take her away. Phyllis vows to fight her and Victor every step of the way.
As Phyllis is being ushered to the elevator, Lauren appears and tells Christine the evidence has been fabricated. She knows it for a fact! Victor is using her to do her dirty work. Christine can’t ignore the facts. Lauren hollers, “I’ll call Michael.” Phyllis knows he’s not on her side.
Lauren meets Michael at Crimson Lights, and he pisses her off by saying Phyllis should have given Victor back his company. His wife fumes at him for taking the Newman’s side. Michael isn’t keen on crossing him by representing Phyllis. Lauren asks him to do it for her. “Let’s get her out of this mess!”
At the ranch, Nick wants Victor to sit down and talk to Nikki. He rants for a while, but Victor won’t discuss it. Michael comes in and tells Victor he’ll be representing Phyllis. Victor can’t believe he’ll defend his enemy and warns if he crosses this line, there’ll be no coming back. Michael thinks everyone deserves a defense; it’s his creed. Victor bellows, “Take your creed and get the hell out of my house! And don’t you come back!” Nick cringes.
The Final Scenes
At Summers Conglomerate, Phyllis thanks Lauren and Michael for posting his bail. Lauren thanks her husband for taking the case. Michael, mind-boggled, says he’ll have to prove Victor’s evidence is fabricated without showing that she actually stole the company.
At Sharon’s place, Sienna has convinced herself she was wrong about Matt being dead. Sharon exclaims, “With Matt Clark, anything is possible.” If he’s alive, he’s coming for all of them! They must be prepared to do whatever it takes to stop him.
At the ranch, Nick understands his dad’s need to get the company back, but he doesn’t like Phyllis being arrested using false information. Victor says she deserves it. Suddenly, Nikki walks in. She’s only there to ride and won’t talk to Victor, who tells his son to accept it.
In the diner, the waitress tells Matt he’s still in Vegas, even if he doesn’t want to be. Puzzled as she walks away, he asks himself, “Did she say Vegas?” Looks like he’s got amnesia! Yup. Holding up the key card, Matt says he has to figure out what happened to him and who the hell he is.
In Phyllis’ office, Michael warns if she won’t give the company back, her case is completely in Christine’s hands. They debate about her integrity. Michael warns she’ll be out for blood if this goes to trial.
