Billy Drops a Bomb on Victoria That ‘Changes Everything’ — and Kyle and Jack Plot to Use Patty Against Victor
At the outdoor cafe, Nikki tells Claire she misses riding but is resisting returning to the ranch. She doubts her husband will let her back into Chancellor either. Claire hates this. If Chancellor isn’t in her grandmother’s future, what is? Nikki has considered opening a substance abuse non-profit in Katherine’s name or helping out Noah. She wonders if Claire would run Chancellor. That sounds a little too outside the box to Claire.
Lily wanders by and overhears this conversation. She finally interrupts to ask if Nikki is returning to Chancellor. Nikki assures her that’s not happening.
Victoria Gets a Shock
Victoria stops by Billy’s to warn him about the emails they “found” and handed over to the DA. His name is in them. Billy immediately assumes it’s all fake. He’s not surprised that her father is throwing him into the fire. Does Victoria have so little backbone that she’ll let her father get away with this? He repeats that his hands are clean and warns that if Victor doesn’t leave him out of his revenge plan, he will pay for it.
Billy and Victoria continue argue until Sally interrupts. Victoria immediately notices the rock on her finger and is taken aback. They admit they’re engaged and then Billy drops a bomb: They are also expecting a child. Victoria, visibly stunned, declares that she’s happy for them, and notes that this changes things. Billy intends to tell the kids on the drive given he’s picking them up from school.
Kyle and Jack Plot
Jack isn’t happy when he runs into Patty at Crimson Lights. She starts trashing Diane as dead inside for leaving him. He’s more concerned about why Patty is still around and whether she’s working for The Mustache. She claims innocence and reminds him of their night together. He reminds her he was drugged. Patty coos and caresses him, asking him to let her free him from his cares. Just then, Kyle walks in.
Once Patty takes the hint, she exits. Kyle sits his father down and accuses him of playing with fire. His father explains he wants to play Patty. This sounds like a disaster waiting to happen to Kyle. Jack can’t keep apologizing to Diane. He’s sent her so many notes and gifts that he feels like a stalker. If he can’t save his marriage, he’ll extract his pound of flesh from the man who caused this. Kyle urges his dad to focus on his marriage. He will gun for Victor instead.
Diane Fumes at Smug Victor and Patty
Victor bumps into Diane in the foyer of the Athletic Club. He smiles at her heart being broken. She trashes him, accusing him of being heartless and enjoying other people’s suffering. He smiles wider, declares that he will never be tired of winning, and brushes past her to order a tequila. Diane continues to lay into him, accusing him of not caring about any of the damage he does, even to his own marriage. He shrugs it off.
Diane continues to lecture Victor, who continues not caring, until Patty swans in. She and Victor act like they are seeing each other for the first time in years, which makes Diane choke. Patty claims she has been rehabilitated and is now following the way of love. She was just telling Jack all about it. Diane fumes, insisting that she is the one Jack will always want and storms off. Patty laughs and Victor smiles. If Patty manages to keep Jack and his wife apart, she’s the gift that keeps on giving.
The Final Scenes
Patty thanks Victor for giving her the opportunity to remind Jack they are fated to be together. She assures him she’s not done and plans to take full advantage of Diane’s grudge against her husband. They toast to that and laugh… as Diane watches.
In Chancellor Park, Lily is startled when Nikki quizzes her about the deal she made with Victor. Lily claims they were only trying to teach Cane a lesson and abruptly excuses herself.
At home, Sally wants to be sure Johnny and Katie are part of the baby’s life. He asks if she wants to tell them together, but she’s not concerned either way. She notes how Victoria seemed to be sideswiped by their news. He fills her in on Victor’s AI-generated emails and the fallout there could be for him. He’s determined to find out what that may be.
At Crimson Lights, Jack doesn’t want Kyle involved in revenge on Victor. Kyle reminds his dad he’s already involved. He’s willing to lead the charge against him. Jack concedes that Victor won’t expect the attack to come from Kyle. Now that he’s distracted, they need take away the one thing that means more to him than Newman: His marriage to Nikki. Jack intones, “We use Patty to destroy any chance Nikki would ever go back to that bastard.”
