Donna Squares Off With Brooke — and Liam Drops a Bombshell Idea on Katie and Hope
Steffy and Finn make out in the cliff house. The kids, of course, are on sleepovers. Steffy complains about the Logan fashion show, before moving on to Sheila. It’s all so terrible.
All of this agony earns Steffy a foot rub from Finn. Not one for relaxing, she still goes on about the “war” with Logan. Finn learns that his wife isn’t sure if Hope is with them… or against them. She condones what Katie did. Finn sees her perspective but notes she’s often tense with Hope. Steffy admits she put her line on hold again.
Taking Sides
Hope and Liam arrive at Bill and Katie’s place for dinner to celebrate the success of the show. Hope tells Katie that her hard work has finally paid off. Katie thanks her… it’s too bad her mom can’t see it that way.
They sit to eat, and Katie and Bill clarify that Brooke and Ridge never released a line under the name Logan. Also, Eric came to them. Hope agrees that Brooke should have been a better sister. Katie plans to rise above it. They all toast to her.
Over at the Forrester mansion, Brooke rants to Donna about Katie. Donna reminds her big sister that she didn’t steal Eric’s designs. He offered them. Brooke maintains that it’s stealing and that this is who Katie has become. The disagreement escalates until Ridge intervenes. Eric, maddeningly, doesn’t say a word.
When he finds his voice, Eric can’t believe he went over there [to Logan]. Zende declares he was taken advantage of. Brooke sulks, “Just like I was when Katie used the name Logan.” She tells Eric she doesn’t mean to make it about her, and yet does exactly that, complaining to Ridge that Katie claimed she and Logan are the hottest thing in L.A. fashion. Donna, giving us life, says that’s true. Brooke sniffs that there’s nowhere for them to go from here.
Back at Katie and Bill’s place, Liam talks up Logan’s astounding numbers and they toast Katie again. Katie is trying to soak this in, live in the moment and not worry, but she has to wonder what comes next. “Who is our new designer? Where do we go from here?”
The Final Scenes
At the cliff house, Steffy and Finn love their lives and each other. Cue the make-out session.
At the Forrester mansion, Zende sides with Brooke and Ridge as Donna makes faces. Ridge assures his dad that he’ll die doing this… it will be a life well-lived. He gets it now. “We have work to do.”
At Bill and Katie’s place, the new fashionista worries that they’ll be a one-hit wonder. They don’t have a designer. Bill tries to reassure her they have time, but she insists they need to address this now. She’s going to succeed even if everyone at Forrester wants her to fail.
This prompts Liam to launch into a rant about how the Forresters treat people… including his wife. He’s seen Hope come home from work, day-after-day, dejected, after being treated unfairly by Steffy. He and Bill agree that Hope and Katie weren’t shown the respect they deserve. Liam has a lightbulb moment and tells Hope she can finally get out from under Ridge and Steffy’s tyranny. What if the future of Katie’s company included Hope? “What if Logan’s next line was yours?” They’d simply call it ‘Hope’.
