Farewell, Ivy: Bold & Beautiful Troublemaker’s Exit Is Anything But Proper… and Hopefully, Temporary!
It was fun while it lasted, but once Bold & Beautiful’s Ivy was busted for messing with lovebirds Electra and Will, the writing was on the wall. Or should we say in the letter, which Ivy inexplicably carried around for weeks as if waiting to be busted.
In the episode airing on Friday, April 24, Ivy packed her bags (well, really her sad little fake office plant) and departed the hallowed halls of Forrester Creations. With Brooke and Ridge handing the jewelry line over to Electra, Ivy declared that she was not only leaving the company but Los Angeles. Better still, she blamed it all on Daphne, who had the unmitigated gall to tell the truth. Eventually, anyways.
But we must never forget that Forrester Creations has one very important thing in common with Oz: In both locales, it could be said that people come and go so quickly. Which means there’s a very good chance we’ll soon see Ivy — and portrayer Ashleigh Brewer — again down the line, as the actress previewed an explosive return.
As silly as the currently-unfolding storyline has been, we’ve taken great delight in Ivy’s constant use of the word “proper” in all its various forms. But there’s an incredibly proper reason for Ivy and Brewer to be exiting at this particular time: While the character is perpetually single, Brewer is not only happily married but expecting her firstborn child any day now!
In the meantime, given that Ivy made sure to issue a not-very-veiled threat to Daphne on the way out the door, we’re taking that as a sign that Electra’s aunt might soon be reappearing. While she’s not very likely to be welcomed back to Forrester Creations with open arms, she might well find herself working closely with R.J. or perhaps Dylan — sorry, Miss Dylan — to once again create problems for Electra and Will.
