As Steffy Warns Ridge About Taylor’s Slip Up, a Tearful Sheila Confronts Deacon About His Affair
In Taylor’s office, Sheila launches into a violent attack with the pizza cutter and then licks it.
At Deacon’s place, he’s antsy to talk to Taylor, but Hope warns he has to be careful. Deke arrives and Hope tells him that Steffy found out what happened. Deacon states that Sheila can never find out. Too late!
In Taylor’s office, it turns out it was the pizza that Sheila cut up, and not the World-Renowned Psychiatrist™. Sheila notices Tay is shaking like a leaf. She’s sorry to disappoint her, but she isn’t the crazy person that she keeps telling her husband she is.
Sheila rails that Deacon loves her and knows she’s changed. Does Taylor not think she deserves love because she’s too damaged. Taylor points out she goes to extremes… she cut off her own toe. “That’s crazy!”
Sheila informs Taylor that her dalliance with Deacon is over. “I won’t allow it!” No matter what she has to do, this is going to end. As she reaches for the pizza cutter, Taylor implores her not to backslide. She can choose to be better. Sheila guesses she thinks she should take the high road and hand her husband over. Taylor offers to advocate for her to have a relationship with Finn and his family. She’ll throw away that chance if she hurts her.
Calling In the Cavalry
Over at the cliff house, Ridge arrives, having been urgently summoned. Steffy tells him, “It’s about mom.” Ridge learns that Sheila nearly caught Taylor and Deacon in bed. Steffy tells him that Sheila doesn’t know about them… yet. Except, she does, of course.
Moment of Truth
At Carter’s place, he and Daphne hover over the pregnancy test, but decide not to peek. He suggests they make love again… as an insurance policy. They begin to romp, only for the timer to go off. Daphne snatches up the pregnancy test and is instantly disappointed: it’s negative.
Carter reassures Daphne, who had herself convinced she was growing a baby inside of her. Carter imagines her holding their child and singing softly. Daphne imagines him as a gentle and kind father. He promises their dreams of a family will come true, but our soapy senses tell us it’s not going to come easy.
The Final Scenes
In Taylor’s office, Sheila asks why she’d listen to her offer to advocate on her behalf. She’s been lying to her husband about her! Why shouldn’t she give in to her demons? Taylor blurts, “Do it for yourself.” Sheila screams that she doesn’t deserve Deacon’s love. That love is hers! “I’m not a bad person anymore!” She muses that Taylor may be the real monster in the room. Deacon will see that and come back to her. “I’ll make sure of it.” Taylor cries tears of relief as Sheila departs.
At the cliff house, Ridge rants about the security around there. Finn fears for Deacon. He’s been totally committed to Sheila. What happens when she finds out he broke that? Ridge doesn’t care.
Sheila arrives at home and Deacon asks where she went. She says she had an appointment and takes off her coat to reveal the nurse uniform. Deacon questions her. Sheila cryptically says there was something she needed to know. She explains about the pizza box at Taylor’s that night, and there being sand in his shoes the next morning.
Sheila explains that she went to see Taylor to get answers, but she was banned from the hospital. Deacon asks what happened. “Did you see Taylor?” Sheila saw him touch Taylor with such tenderness. She saw the way that he looked at her. “That look is supposed to be mine.”
Sheila invites Deacon to lie to her, but knows he can’t. Taylor admitted that the two of them were in love. Shouting, she wants him to admit he’s having an affair. Deacon winces. “It’s true. I’m sorry. I’ve been involved with Taylor.” Sheila cries.
