Ridge Squares Off With Bill and Katie — and Ivy’s Manipulation Breaks Electra’s Heart

At the Forrester mansion, Brooke, unsurprisingly, won’t take any of the blame where Eric’s concerned… it’s all Katie’s fault! Bill walks into the room with Donna and declares that Brooke and Ridge discarded the elder Forrester. Ridge comes downstairs and startles everyone by saying he’s right… they did do that.
Ridge confesses that he spoke to his dad and realized he never listened to him. This is on him. Hallelujah! But when Donna heads upstairs, Ridge informs Katie and Bill that his dad’s not working for them anymore.
Ridge wants the Spencers to rip up Eric’s contract, as Katie argues that Ridge is speaking for his father again. Ridge explains that Eric only went to them because he felt there was no place for him at Forrester, and now that’s changed.
Ivy’s Manipulation
In the design office at Forrester, Ivy flashes to Electra writing Will a letter and murmurs, “We couldn’t have that, Electra. It was for your own good,” referring, of course, to her stealing said letter so Will would never get it. Off the deep end!
Across the hall, Carter can see that Will’s worried about Electra and their relationship. Will admits he’s losing it.
At that very moment, Electra’s talking to herself in the showroom, hoping she and Will can put the whole Dylan mess behind them once he reads the all-important letter… you know, the one in Ivy’s purse.
Back in the main office, Will’s suddenly gone, and RJ’s with Carter. Two interns walk in and ask them out for after-work drinks. Carter delights in saying he has a wife to get home to. Babe magnet RJ bails as well, much to their chagrin. He then lets Carter know he’s only into the captivating Electra. Disapproving, Carter reminds him that she’s Will’s girlfriend.
Speaking of Will, he’s in the design office, bummed because the necklace Electra made him has broken. He sets it on the desk and exits. Enter Ivy, who is clearly getting a devious idea. Yep, she puts the broken necklace on the desk where Electra left the letter, so it looks like he ripped it off his neck after reading it. Not proper at all.
It all goes according to plan. When Electra enters the office and spots the necklace, she guesses Will read her letter. As the tears well up, Ivy returns.
The Final Scenes
At the Forrester mansion, Bill warns he won’t let Eric back out of their deal. Arguing ensues and Katie lists off the things they gave Eric. Ridge roars, “You gave him nothing.” And declares that Eric Forrester is coming home.
At the beach house, Will calls out for Dylan… then nothing. Mmkay.
In the design office, Ivy watches, unseen, as Electra cries that Will read her letter and left their necklace. “You chose Dylan.”
Electra takes off to the showroom, and Ivy goes into the main office to tell RJ that her niece is going through a tough time. She and Will are having major trouble. Cunning as ever, she sends him to the showroom to search for a missing diamond… where he finds Electra weeping. Ivy employs her new special skill – creeping and spying – as Electra fills RJ in on her troubles and he takes her in his arms.
