Oh No! Did General Hospital Just Reveal That the One Thing Nobody Wants Is About to Happen?

Whatever nefarious goings-on that have been happening on General Hospital lately, about the only thing we do know is that Faison is very connected to them. That doesn’t mean he’s literally running everything (as far as we know, he’s still dead), but there’s that secret final project, Anna’s kidnapping, and the return-from-death of two of his kids: Britt and Nathan.
We’ve seen an image of Peter and even suspected that Director Cullum could be Faison’s secret first-born. But now we’re afraid of something even more horrifying: That Peter is back — and in Nathan’s body!
We’ve known something has been off about him for some time. His resurrection was highly suspicious and Nathan just hasn’t been… right. It’s been tough to put our finger on it, but him recently forgetting proper police procedure was a huge red flag. And then we got Thursday’s episode, where Nathan and Lulu played Two Truths and a Lie during the blizzard.
Nathan’s challenge was, “I’m a switch hitter, I hate chocolate, and I know the entire periodic table of elements by heart.” Lulu, of course, thought the last tidbit was a lie, then made him recite it all. And he did. According to Nathan, his dad drilled it into him as a kid on a daily basis. Lulu (and us) thought that he’d told Maxie that his dad never paid much attention to him because he was adopted. Nina was their father’s pride and joy.
But Nathan had an answer for that. His father was a businessman, and because Nathan was terrible at math, he forced him into science. His father thought that would make him useful. When it didn’t, dad lost interest.
And that seemed awfully fishy to us — and even more so to the fans! In the recap comments, PurpleAirBalloon ” immediately thought of Faison. That makes more sense than his adopted businessman dad. Was it a slip? Faison raised Peter, although supposedly he sent him away to boarding school. I can see Faison making his kid learn the periodic table.”
“Oh god,” Laurie Cohen added, “what if it’s Peter with Nathan’s face? He would know enough about everyone to get by, but wouldn’t know everything about police procedure, so that would explain the slip up with the evidence.”
While we’re happy to have Nathan back, we’re pretty sure just about no one wants Peter to return! Though, we suppose that’s what makes him a good villain. But we can’t deny the fact that Nathan’s return has been incredibly fishy and if he can’t even remember basic procedures for his own career, there’s a good chance he’s not who he says he is. And if he is Peter, he could be the one behind even Cullum and Sidwell.
