At Crimson Lights, Cane wants to pick up Lily for the launch party, but she insists they meet in the foyer of the Club instead. She warns he’ll have to look “ginchy” thanks to the fifties theme. Taking her hand, he thanks her. It’s a chance to have fun together.

Lily repeatedly reminds Cane of their arrangement… this is not a date. Ashby promises there will be no expectations. He’ll see her at the Club later. She trots out and Phyllis appears, asking why he’d be seeing Lily later at all.

Cane tells her it’s none of her business and she needles about him being touchy. He calls her “Mata Hari” and they continue bickering. Phyllis doesn’t appreciate him threatening her the other day. He confronts her for stealing his program, and giving it to Victor, who came after him instead of Jabot. The lying is why they have nothing to say to each other. She continues to deny it.

Cane invites Phyllis to be truthful, and they bicker at length about her trustworthiness and his suspiciousness. She lobs, “Screw you.” They move to the patio and keep yelling at each other until she confesses, “I did it! I stole your precious AI program.” She used it as a bargaining chip to get what she wanted. She then accuses him of using her. “Guess what? I was using you. Me too. I was using you. Two can play that game.”

Audra’s Troubles

At the Club bar, Audra is alone, fuming over Holden’s “nerve.” She flashes back to showing up in The Shadow Room when he was tending bar. Sienna reluctantly left for the night, glaring at Audra as she went. Audra justified stealing the money from the handsy man and explained to Holden that he’s called the cops on her. Her buddy at the airport warned her she’s been flagged… she can’t take the risk of flying to London. She asked Holden for help getting a new license and passport.

After disconnecting, she flashes back to that night at The Shadow Room. Holden told her that guy was totally out of line as she thanked him for having her back. He warned that creep had been there several times looking for her. Audra sneered that he’s lucky she didn’t kill him. Just then, the jerk walked in, and said, “I’d like to see you try.”

They get into it, and Audra tells Lily she’s a fool for even talking to Cane. Lily goes after her for hurting Nate. Audra urges her to simply avoid her. She has no idea what she’s been through. She had to learn to take care of herself, so she’s not intimidated by self-righteousness phonies like her. Suddenly, Nate appears.
